Sullivan\u2019s Crossing<\/em> isn\u2019t going to make Maggie\u2019s marriage to Liam easy to end.<\/p>\n

In Us Weekly\u2019s exclusive clip from the Monday, April 27, episode of the hit series, Maggie (Morgan Kohan<\/strong>) checks in with Cal (Chad Michael Murray<\/strong>) about helping to \u201cfix\u201d her situation with Liam (Marcus Rosner<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

\u201cI spoke with the lawyer\u2019s office and I am afraid you are going to have to file for divorce. There is a five-year time limit on refiling,\u201d Cal tells Maggie, who is visibly upset by the news. \u201cIt\u2019s no big deal. It will work out.\u201d<\/p>\n

Maggie fires back that it is a big deal to her, adding, \u201cAn annulment meant the marriage never happened. A divorce means I was actually married.\u201d<\/p>\n

Season 3 of the hit series, which started streaming on Netflix in August 2025, initially hinted at Maggie\u2019s (Morgan Kohan) ex when she mentioned Liam (Marcus Rosner) to Lola (Amalia Williamson) as a summer fling she had [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Despite the roadblock, Cal convinces Maggie not to worry.<\/p>\n

\u201cLook at the bright side, at least you don\u2019t have to find a lawyer,\u201d he jokes while referring to his past career. \u201cJust breathe. It will be OK, I promise.\u201d<\/p>\n

Season 3 of Sullivan\u2019s Crossing<\/em> initially hinted at Maggie\u2019s ex when she mentioned Liam to Lola (Amalia Williamson<\/strong>) as a summer fling she had met before finishing medical school. After a meet-cute during a trip abroad, Maggie and Liam fell out of touch.<\/p>\n

Liam was brought up again when Cal found letters Maggie had written to Liam explaining why their relationship couldn\u2019t work long-term because she wanted to prioritize her career.<\/p>\n

The rest of the season focused on Maggie and Cal\u2019s relationship. Despite them not being an official couple, they faced several challenges, including Cal reconnecting with his estranged father, who was battling a terminal illness.<\/p>\n

After Maggie supported Cal through the difficult reunion, they returned to Sullivan\u2019s Crossing, where he asked her to move in with him. They started planning their future just as the season came to an end, which is when a guest who checked in earlier that day revealed himself to be Liam. He then shocked Cal by referring to himself as Maggie\u2019s husband.<\/p>\n

Kohan previously teased the surprise twist, telling Swoon in July 2025, \u201cI remember hearing a little bit [about Liam early in season 3]. I didn\u2019t know they were married. There started to be talk when we filmed the scene with Lola and having summer flings. I knew that he was going to be coming into it, but I didn\u2019t really know when or in what capacity. That cliffhanger was so much fun for me to read as well.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like it came up so last minute that I didn\u2019t really have time to think about it, but I think it definitely would. It makes a lot more sense, for sure, for her to be more hesitant,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
