Newly-resurfaced photos of Patriots coach Mike Vrabel<\/strong> and NFL reporter Dianna Russini<\/strong> showed them smiling together at a casino following his firing from the Tennessee Titans in 2024.<\/p>\n

Vrabel, 50, and Russini, 43, can be seen laughing together at the Beau Rivage Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi, just before midnight on January 31, 2024, in photos obtained by TMZ on Thursday, April 23.<\/p>\n

A witness told the outlet that they recognized Vrabel and assumed Russini must be his wife but didn\u2019t realize her actual identity until recently.<\/p>\n

Per the photographer, Russini followed Vrabel when he left the roulette table and then sat opposite him. The two were reportedly together in the casino for around an hour before the witness left.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tNew England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel refused to directly discuss Dianna Russini in his first public comments since the pair were photographed together at a hotel in Arizona. During a press conference on Tuesday, April 21, Vrabel, 50, was asked to comment on Russini, 43, resigning from her job as an NFL reporter for [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The timing of the casino outing is significant as Vrabel was fired as the head coach of the Tennessee Titans on January 9, 2024 \u2014 just a few weeks before these new photos were reportedly snapped.<\/p>\n

Both Vrabel and Russini were married to other people at the time. (Russini has been married to Shake Shack executive Kevin Goldschmidt<\/strong> since 2020 and they share two sons: Michael, 4, and Joey, 3. Vrabel has been married to his wife, Jen<\/strong>, since 1999.)<\/p>\n

Us Weekly<\/em> has reached out to Russini and the New England Patriots for comment.<\/p>\n

Controversy arose over the nature of Vrabel and Russini\u2019s relationship in early April when they were photographed holding hands at a boutique hotel in Sedona, Arizona. At the time, Vrabel said that the photos showed \u201ca completely innocent interaction\u201d and insisted that \u201cany suggestion otherwise is laughable.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe photos don\u2019t represent the group of six people who were hanging out during the day,\u201d Russini said at the time. \u201cLike most journalists in the NFL, reporters interact with sources away from stadiums and other venues.\u201d<\/p>\n

Amid her employer, The Athletic<\/em>, opening an investigation into her conduct on April 11, Russini confirmed her resignation from the outlet on April 14.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have covered the NFL with professionalism and dedication throughout my career, and I stand behind every story I have ever published,\u201d Russini said in a statement. \u201cWhen the Page Six item first appeared, The Athletic supported me unequivocally, expressed confidence in my work and pride in my journalism. For that I am grateful. In the days that followed, unfortunately, commentators in various media have engaged in self-feeding speculation that is simply unmoored from the facts.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cMoreover, this media frenzy is hurtling forward without regard for the review process The Athletic is trying to complete. It continues to escalate, fueled by repeated leaks, and I have no interest in submitting to a public inquiry that has already caused far more damage than I am willing to accept.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cRather than allowing this to continue, I have decided to step aside now \u2014 before my current contract expires on June 30,\u201d Russini concluded. \u201cI do so not because I accept the narrative that has been constructed around this episode, but because I refuse to lend it further oxygen or to let it define me or my career.\u201d<\/p>\n

ESPN\u2019s Ben Strauss<\/strong> reported on Saturday, April 18, that the NFL chose not to review Vrabel\u2019s conduct under its personal conduct policy. With the NFL draft set to kick off on Thursday, Vrabel addressed reporters for the first time on Tuesday, April 22.<\/p>\n
