\n\tThe Late Show with Stephen Colbert<\/em> won\u2019t quite be over on May 6, and Barack Obama\u2018s presidential library won\u2019t quite be open, but the duo will be sitting down for a chat next month just before the late night host heads into the CBS sunset. <\/p>\n

\n\tIn what will be Colbert and Obama\u2019s final midnight hour interview, the former Colbert Report<\/em> frontman made the big get disclosure near the top of the Late Show <\/em>tonight. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cFolks before we get started, I have a quick but exciting announcement,\u201d Colbert said from behind his desk at NYC\u2019s Ed Sullivan Theater. \u201cTuesday May 5 here on The Late Show <\/em>in his first interview from the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago, I will be sitting down with former President Barack Obama,\u201d he added to cheers from the hyped up crowd \u2013 take a look below<\/p>\n

\n\tStarting construction in 2021, the multi-purpose Barack Obama Presidential Center is set to officially open to the public on June 19 after a A-lister packed dedication ceremony the day before. The final episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert<\/em> is set to air on May 21, 2026. \u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe very next day, a Friday, Comics Unleashed <\/em>will be in the Late Show<\/em>\u2018s spot. Byron Allen bought the Late Show\u2019s<\/em> time slot off CBS to move his\u00a0Comics Unleashed<\/em> up an hour after Colbert exits. Or, as David Letterman put it recently of CBS: \u201cThey don\u2019t want to spend any money, so they\u2019re going to make money.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
