{"id":83292,"date":"2026-04-24T08:08:17","date_gmt":"2026-04-24T08:08:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/diyhaven858.wasmer.app\/index.php\/storage-wars-darrell-sheets-had-depression-years-before-death\/"},"modified":"2026-04-24T08:08:17","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T08:08:17","slug":"storage-wars-darrell-sheets-had-depression-years-before-death","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/diyhaven858.wasmer.app\/index.php\/storage-wars-darrell-sheets-had-depression-years-before-death\/","title":{"rendered":"Storage Wars&#8217; Darrell Sheets Had Depression Years Before Death"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Late <em>Storage Wars<\/em> star <strong>Darrell Sheets<\/strong> previously opened up about struggling with depression nearly a decade before his death.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDepression is the Devil\u2019s way of attacking us,\u201d Sheets wrote via Instagram in June 2018. \u201cIt knows no mercy, it takes our smiles it comes and goes, it ruins our relationships, it takes away our happiness, it leads to suicide in some cases, it destroys all thoughts of positivity, it is a 24\/7 battle and allows no rest for the suffering.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sheets added that depression is a \u201cvery real deal\u201d and advised others to be sympathetic to those battling the mood disorder.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo please next time someone tells you they have depression, be kind and know that they spend every minute they have breathing, suffering !!!\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n<p><em>Us Weekly<\/em> confirmed on Wednesday, April 22, that Sheets died by an apparent suicide. He was 67.<\/p>\n<p>A spokesperson for the Lake Havasu City Police Department told <em>Us<\/em> that authorities responded to a call in the early morning hours on Wednesday. Officers were dispatched to an Arizona residence, where they discovered the reality star\u2019s body. Sheets appeared to suffer from a self-inflicted gunshot, according to a press release.<\/p>\n<p>An official cause of death has not been confirmed as the incident is under active investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Darrell is survived by his son and <em>Storage Wars<\/em> costar, <strong>Brandon \u201cThe Sidebet\u201d Sheets<\/strong>, and daughter <strong>Tiffany Shane Sheets<\/strong>. He was previously married to <strong>Kimber Wuerfel<\/strong>, whom he split from in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Darrell was best known for starring on <em>Storage Wars<\/em> from 2010 to 2023. The antique hunter was nicknamed \u201cThe Gambler\u201d and had the iconic catchphrase, \u201cThis is the WOW factor!\u201d Darrell departed from the series in 2023 after suffering a heart attack.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are saddened by the passing of a beloved member of our <em>Storage Wars<\/em> family, Darrell \u2018The Gambler\u2019 Sheets,\u201d a spokesperson for A&amp;E told <em>Us<\/em> on Wednesday. \u201cOur thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Several of Darrell\u2019s <em>Storage Wars<\/em> costars paid tribute to him following his death.
