Related: <\/span>NTSB Releases New Photos From Greg Biffle\u2019s Fatal Plane Crash<\/span> \n\t\t\tThe National Transportation Safety Board has released new photos and videos from the scene of the crash that killed NASCAR driver Greg Biffle and his family, among three others, as the investigation continues. \u201cOur representative with the National Transportation Safety Board disaster assistance division is continuing to work with the family members and loved ones [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Biffle died on December 18, 2025, at age 58 when his plane crashed as it attempted to return to the Statesville Regional Airport in Statesville, North Carolina. Biffle\u2019s wife, Cristina<\/strong>, his 14-year-old daughter, Emma<\/strong>, 5-year-old son, Ryder<\/strong>, as well as motorhome driver Craig Wadsworth<\/strong>, pilot Dennis Dutton<\/strong> and his son Jack Dutton<\/strong> also died in the accident.<\/p>\n The crash occurred approximately 10 minutes after takeoff and the cause is still under investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board. A final determination could take up to two years, former military pilot and aviation attorney Dan Rose<\/strong> told Us Weekly<\/em> exclusively in December.<\/p>\n \u201cOur representative with the National Transportation Safety Board disaster assistance division is continuing to work with the family members and loved ones of those who lost their lives in this accident,\u201d NTSB board member Michael Graham<\/strong> said in a December 20 press conference. \u201cAnd I want to thank the family members who have been assisting our team during this terrible time.\u201d<\/p>\n Graham added, \u201cWe do not know the circumstances that led the aircraft \u2026 to return to the airport but that is the focus of our investigation. Early indications from multiple sources indicate that the airplane was stable on approach, configured for landing with the landing lights on, but the aircraft was coming in low.\u201d<\/p>\n 9-1-1 calls obtained by TMZ<\/em> on January 6 detailed \u201ca huge fire\u201d at the scene, where a caller said a \u201csmall, mid-sized jet\u201d had crashed.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t know how many people were on board, but I do know there\u2019s at least two pilots,\u201d the caller said. \u201cProbably at least four passengers.\u201d<\/p>\n Another caller described the Cessna Citation 550 as falling \u201cstraight downward,\u201d resulting in a \u201chuge explosion.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe just have a plane fly over our heads and crash into the tree line,\u201d the caller said.<\/p>\n You have successfully subscribed.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
