Ladies of London: The New Reign<\/em> star Margo Stilley<\/strong> was all for a \u201cnew adventure\u201d on reality TV, but she had no idea her on-camera panic attack would lead to a surprise health discovery.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t know that I wasn\u2019t physically or mentally positioned to take on so much more responsibilities,\u201d Margo, 43, told People<\/em> on Thursday, April 23, speaking about her time on the Bravo series. \u201cWhat I didn\u2019t realize was that I was trying to build my life on a new life [that was] on completely broken foundations.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fans met Margo in March when the revived series \u2014 with a whole new cast \u2014 premiered on Bravo. While viewers have loved the non-stop drama, some were shocked when Margo started to cry and had a panic attack during the Thursday, April 23, episode following a fight with costar Mark-Francis Vandelli<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m with two costars who I do consider my friends and they\u2019re just telling me what someone said about my clothes. There is no historical reason for me to have had that reaction,\u201d Margo confessed, referring to Mark-Francis, 36, negative remarks about her wardrobe \u2014 and her subsequent breakdown after calling him \u201cweird and creepy.\u201d<\/p>\n

She explained, \u201cI remember being like, \u2018Am I dying? What the hell\u2019s going on?\u2019 It was just strange, I\u2019ve never had a panic attack before. It was the first time I was able to admit, \u2018OK, this is not normal stress. This is strange.’\u201d<\/p>\n

Margo noted that after that moment, she started to realize she was \u201cwatching myself just decline, decline, decline. I wasn\u2019t sleeping. On my days off, I would just lay in bed, but I couldn\u2019t rest.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Margo hoped that her panic attack \u2014 and her other ailments \u2014 were linked to the stress of filming in London and she\u2019d feel better once she was back in California, that was not the case.<\/p>\n

\u201cI never got better, I got worse and worse and worse. And I never stopped crying, I would cry all day long,\u201d Margo recalled, noting that after being back in Los Angeles for three months with her husband and their three children, she knew she needed to see a doctor.<\/p>\n

Margo revealed that after conducting a hormone panel, the doctors discovered that she had \u201cno available testosterone, no progesterone and 30 times the amount of estrogen that any woman at any age should ever have.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I was like, \u2018Oh, I\u2019m not an awful person, I\u2019m not weak, I\u2019m not a bad mom, I\u2019m not a bad wife, I\u2019m not a bad friend. I just am hormonally imbalanced,\u201d she remembered thinking, sharing that she started \u201cfeeling like myself again\u201d after a few months of balancing her hormones.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tBefore Meghan Markle made the (brief) move to the U.K., we had the Ladies of London. Bravo documented the lives of British socialites and American women who moved across the pond for three seasons. Season 1 starred Caroline Stanbury, Marissa Hermer, Juliet Angus, Annabelle Neilson, Caprice Bourret, Noelle Reno and Julie Montagu in a \u201cfriend\u201d [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Margo noted that during this health journey she also realized she never fully dealt with her postpartum depression or Dysphoric Milk Ejection Reflex (D-MER) that she experienced after giving birth to her daughter, Della Rose, in 2023. (D-MER is a condition that affects breastfeeding or pumping women giving them \u201cintense negative feelings\u201d if their milk \u201clets down during a feeding,\u201d according to Cleveland Clinic.)<\/p>\n

She explained that after doing about \u201csix or eight weeks\u201d of postpartum therapy she felt better but didn\u2019t realize \u201chow long it can last.\u201d (Margo is also the stepmother to two boys that her husband has from a previous relationship.)<\/p>\n

Instead, Margo agreed to do Ladies of London<\/em> and spend the summer in England, a special place for her, to see \u201cif I could just get back to my old life and get back to myself.\u201d<\/p>\n
