Alan Cumming<\/strong> is opening up about his years-long friendship with Lisa Kudrow<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Cumming, 61, gushed about Kudrow, 62, while speaking to Us Weekly<\/em> exclusively at the Time100 Gala on Thursday, April 23. The Traitors host shared his reaction to Kudrow\u2019s tribute in Time<\/em>\u2019s list of the 100 Most Influential People of 2026.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t know it was going to be her. \u2026 They don\u2019t tell you. And so it was just such a lovely surprise,\u201d he told Us<\/em>. \u201cAnd you know, everything that she said about me, I completely feel about her.\u201d<\/p>\n

In her tribute, Kudrow wrote that Cumming is \u201cjust as spectacular in person as he is on your television screen.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, are you kidding? He steps into the room, and you just can\u2019t help but think, \u2018Yes. Glorious,\u2019\u201d the Friends<\/em> alum continued. \u201cEverything about him is thrilling. And yet, there\u2019s something about him that makes you feel like you can take a deep, calming breath whenever he\u2019s near. He\u2019s so fully himself \u2014 so free, so authentic \u2014 that simply being around him feels like a celebration. It\u2019s really no wonder everyone is so drawn to him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kudrow added that watching Cumming host The Traitors<\/em> is \u201cso much fun, not only because he always looks fantastic, but because he plays such a great villain.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Alan I know off-screen is sweet, bubbly, and friendly,\u201d she concluded. \u201cHe chooses joy, he chooses glee, and he sees the wonderful in everything. He\u2019s a phenomenal person and also, luckily for us, a brilliant performer. Alan can do anything and everything, and that\u2019s really all there is to it.\u201d<\/p>\n

After her Friends costar, Jennifer Aniston, recently claimed Kudrow, 60, \u201chated\u201d when the show\u2019s live audience laughed during filming, Kudrow clarified her true feelings to Entertainment Tonight. \u201cNo, that\u2019s not exactly \u2026 no, no. It irritated me if they would laugh for too long,\u201d [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

While speaking to Us<\/em>, Cumming recalled the \u201cgreat connection\u201d he made with Kudrow while they worked together on the 1997 comedy film Romy and Michele\u2019s High School Reunion<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd we see each other sporadically, and work together sporadically. But I just always think of her as a really good friend,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n

Cumming also recalled Kudrow hosting a panel for The Traitors<\/em> in 2025, adding that he was \u201creally moved\u201d by her appearance at the event.<\/p>\n
