The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives<\/em> star Jessi Draper<\/strong> is giving her fans a \u201clife update,\u201d speaking candidly about her healing journey and experience dating after divorce.<\/p>\n \u201cI know that you guys see a lot of headlines and videos and photos about my life, and something that I have learned from being on reality TV is that everyone has an opinion,\u201d Jessi, 33, said in a \u201cget ready with me\u201d video shared via Instagram on Saturday, April 25. \u201cBut healing after divorce is so interesting because everyone\u2019s process is different.\u201d<\/p>\n Jessi and her estranged husband Jordan Ngatikaura<\/strong> \u2014 who share kids Jager, 5, and Jovi, 3 \u2014 called it quits after making their reality TV debut on the hit Hulu show in September 2024. Their marriage issues were documented on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives<\/em>, including Jessi\u2019s emotional affair with Marciano Brunette<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Following the news of their split, Jessi broke her silence on their divorce during a March episode of the \u201cCall Her Daddy\u201d podcast, claiming she experienced \u201cemotional abuse\u201d from Jordan.<\/p>\n On Friday, April 24, Jordan clapped back, telling a fan that his \u201cwife\u2019s acting like a complete psycho [and] manic person.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cSo for me, I did a lot of mourning in my relationship,\u201d Jessi continued on Saturday. \u201cI don\u2019t know if anyone can relate to that. I know a lot of people don\u2019t understand that I\u2019m dating and hanging out and just having fun and when you\u2019re in a relationship where you don\u2019t feel valued and you don\u2019t feel like you were treated well, it feels so nice to just talk to people who make you feel valued and treat you well.\u201d<\/p>\n She added, \u201cAnd I think one of the biggest comments I see is, \u2018Go heal and focus on your children.\u2019 And what I want to say to that is: two things can be true. I have my kids 50 percent of the time now, so I am focusing on healing and spending time with them but when I don\u2019t have them I\u2019m also focusing on myself and reprioritizing being happy, honestly. And it\u2019s been really fun to just be happy and to be giddy and to just let loose and kind of see that men don\u2019t have to be what I have experienced for so long.\u201d<\/p>\n Jessi went on to say that while she does believe that \u201cbeing alone,\u201d going to therapy and \u201cjournaling\u201d are all \u201c a big part of healing,\u201d she also believes that \u201canother part of healing is dating.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cBecause I am definitely jaded when it comes to relationships now and I am really scared,\u201d she explained. \u201cSo it\u2019s been kind of nice just to, like, be happy again and experience other things. I do plan on being single for a long time and just hanging out with different people and having fun and finding connections while also focusing on myself.\u201d<\/p>\n Jessi \u2014 who admitted she hasn\u2019t been \u201csingle since I was 19 or 20 years old\u201d \u2014 also addressed comments she has made about her previous relationship, saying that she doesn\u2019t want to \u201ctalk badly\u201d about her failed marriage.<\/p>\n \u201cI already said my piece on that,\u201d she added, claiming that she lived in \u201cfight or flight\u201d mode for years. \u201cBut there is an element of, like, when you do get divorced you kind of unwind what you\u2019ve been through.\u201d<\/p>\n The reality TV star acknowledged that there are \u201cgoing to be plenty of judgments\u201d about the decisions she makes moving forward, but despite the online hate and criticism she is \u201cso happy just to be in this new phase in life.\u201d<\/p>\n\n<\/blockquote>\n
