Gabby Windey <\/b>says that she \u201calways\u201d had an inkling that she was queer before publicly coming out.<\/p>\n

\u201cI always had a whisper,\u201d Windey, 35, admitted on the Friday, April 24, episode of the \u201cIn Your Dreams\u201d podcast<\/span>. \u201cI guess, I\u2019ve never really been homophobic, so I figured I was gay.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cWhen I was a nurse, I had a really good friend who was a lesbian. She was so funny, we had so much fun together. She was the best, and I didn\u2019t even think anything that she was a lesbian.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Windey, her friend was her \u201cfirst real emotional attraction\u201d to another person.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tGabby Windey and girlfriend Robby Hoffman\u2019s romance keeps getting stronger after five months together \u2014 and that includes their sex life. \u201cI feel safer with a woman. I feel less judged and I feel like there\u2019s nothing off limits. If I have a question, I\u2019m going to ask \u2014 before, after, during,\u201d the former Bachelorette, [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t realize it, and then, I became a [Denver Broncos] cheerleader, which is hyper-heterosexual,\u201d the former Bachelorette recalled. \u201cAt the end, all my friends were getting married after cheerleading, having babies. I just wasn\u2019t clicking with the dudes, you know? Also, Denver dudes are terrible.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fed up with the \u201cbasic\u201d single men in Colorado, Windey left to become a travel nurse.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s very, kind of, Christian values like get married, have kids [and] things like that, and I\u2019m like, \u2018That\u2019s just not me,\u201d she said. \u201cAt this point, I didn\u2019t really know I was lesbian.\u201d<\/p>\n

Windey eventually appeared on Clayton Echard<\/b>\u2019s season 26 of The Bachelor<\/i>, subsequently co-leading her own season of The Bachelorette <\/i>alongside Rachel Recchia<\/b>. Windey got engaged to Erich Schwer <\/b>on the show, but they broke up months later in 2022 during her stint on Dancing With the Stars. <\/i>After finishing the ballroom show in second place, Windey temporarily moved back in with her parents in Colorado.<\/p>\n

\u201cRight before I went to bed, like, you\u2019d get these subconscious thoughts and it was, like, \u2018What if you\u2019re gay?\u2019 What would your family say?\u201d Windey said. \u201c[I thought], \u2018You\u2019d have to tell your dad. Would it be scary?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

The Love Overboard <\/i>host eventually returned to Los Angeles and decided that she wanted to date women.<\/p>\n
