I am forever grateful and wish everyone to be proud of their scars.\u201d<\/p>\n Andrew walked his youngest daughter, Eugenie, down the aisle when she married Jack Brooksbank <\/b>in October 2018.<\/p>\n The next year, Virginia Giuffre <\/b>accused Andrew of sexual assault when she was 17 years old and filed a lawsuit against him. The former Duke of York vehemently denied the allegations before he and Giuffre settled out of court for an undisclosed sum.<\/p>\n As Andrew navigated fallout from the scandal, his daughters remained quiet.<\/p>\n \u201cEugenie\u2019s husband and Beatrice\u2019s fianc\u00e9 [Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi<\/b>] are standing by them and are doing everything they can to distract the girls from the situation and calm them down,\u201d a source told Us<\/i><\/span> <\/i>in December 2019. \u201cThere have been scandals surrounding Andrew and Sarah Ferguson in the past, and while this is the worst yet, they know that marrying into the royal family comes with its ups and downs.\u201d<\/p>\n According to the insider, the York princesses were \u201cgoing through hell\u201d but remained in contact with Andrew.<\/p>\n \u201cBea is talking to her dad most days,\u201d the source added.<\/p>\n Beatrice and Edoardo threw a lavish engagement party that same month, though Andrew was absent <\/span>from the celebration.<\/p>\n Andrew and Sarah\u2019s family expanded when Eugenie and Jack welcomed their first baby, son August in February 2021.<\/p>\n \u201cHaving not had my own mother around, I\u2019ve always been determined to be a very present mother with my children, and I know Eugenie will be the same with hers,\u201d Sarah told Us <\/i>in January 2021<\/span> of her daughter\u2019s pregnancy. \u201cShe is incredibly empathetic and will be a great mother. She is a very strong and determined person, always looking for the truth in all she does.\u201d<\/p>\n Eugenie later welcomed son Ernest in June 2023, while Beatrice gave birth to daughters Sienna and Athena in September 2021 and January 2025, respectively. (Beatrice is also stepmother of her husband\u2019s son from a previous relationship.)<\/p>\n Sarah often babysits her grandchildren, who call her \u201cGG.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWhile Beatrice was away in Jordan [for the royal wedding], I was allowed to have Sienna over to play and to stay with me,\u201d Sarah said on her \u201cTea Talks\u201d podcast<\/span> in June 2023. \u201cIt was very nice. The last couple of days, I\u2019ve managed to really have a bond [with her], and guess what my bond is? I gave her a little sip of tea out of my teacup!\u201d<\/p>\n Sarah was diagnosed with breast cancer in June 2023 and underwent a mastectomy. We always call ourselves \u2018the tripod\u2019 as we are there to prop each other up through thick and thin, and they have certainly demonstrated that in recent months.\u201d<\/p>\n Beatrice revealed on This Morning <\/i>months earlier in May 2024 that her mom was \u201call in the clear.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cShe\u2019s such a phenomenal icon,\u201d Beatrice said. \u201cAs a mum she\u2019s been amazing, she\u2019s been through so much and her sense of purpose and resilience really keeps me going. At 64 she\u2019s thriving; she\u2019s been through so much, but I think really now she\u2019s coming into her own.\u201d<\/p>\n Andrew was arrested for alleged misconduct in public office in February 2026 after being accused of sharing confidential intel with late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein<\/b>.
