The latest episode of Storage Wars: Back to the Locker <\/i>included a tribute to late series personality Darrell Sheets<\/b> just days after his untimely death.<\/p>\n

The Saturday, April 25, episode of the A+E docuseries ended with a title card that read \u201cIn Memoriam Darrell Sheets\u201d alongside the dates of Sheets\u2019 birth and death.<\/p>\n

Us Weekly <\/i>confirmed on Wednesday, April 22, that Sheets died by apparent suicide<\/span>. He was 67.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn April 22, 2026, at approximately 0200 hours, officers with the Lake Havasu City Police Department were dispatched to a residence in the 1500 block of Chandler Drive in reference to a reported deceased individual,\u201d a statement from Arizona\u2019s Lake Havasu City Police Department read. \u201cUpon arrival, officers located a male subject who suffered from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. The male was pronounced deceased on scene, and the Lake Havasu City Police Department\u2019s Criminal Investigations Unit was notified and responded to the scene to assume the investigation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Us Weekly confirmed the news on April 22, 2026, that Sheets died by an apparent suicide. Sheets was known as \u201cThe Gambler,\u201d appearing on Storage Wars<\/i> between 2010 and 2023. On the show, cast members like Sheets bid on abandoned and unopened storage lockers in auctions.<\/p>\n

Sheets, who is survived by his two children, had previously been candid about his mental health struggles.<\/p>\n

\u201cDepression is the Devil\u2019s way of attacking us,\u201d Sheets wrote via Instagram in June 2018<\/span>. \u201cIt knows no mercy, it takes our smiles it comes and goes, it ruins our relationships, it takes away our happiness, it leads to suicide in some cases, it destroys all thoughts of positivity, it is a 24\/7 battle and allows no rest for the suffering.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sheets later claimed that he was cyberbullied in the months before his death.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was impersonating him with phone calls, messages, emails, websites \u2026 He flat out said, \u2018I\u2019m gonna ruin you,\u201d Sheets\u2019 onscreen rival Rene Nezhoda<\/b> exclusively told Us<\/i><\/span> <\/i>on Friday, April 24 regarding the accusations. \u201cI mean, all you have to do is go to Darrell\u2019s last few messages on Facebook. He kind of withdrew from social media.\u201d<\/p>\n
