Pro Football Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith<\/strong>\u2019s son E.J.<\/strong> has found a home in the NFL\u2026 but it\u2019s not with the Dallas Cowboys.<\/p>\n

E.J. announced on Saturday, April 25, that he will be signing with the Kansas City Chiefs as a free agent after going undrafted in the 2026 NFL Draft.<\/p>\n

\u201cExcited to officially sign with the Kansas City Chiefs as a free agent,\u201d E.J. wrote in an Instagram post, along with a video showing the NFL legend\u2019s son on the phone with the Chiefs. \u201cNothing is given \u2014 everything is earned. I\u2019m ready to work, learn, and prove myself every single day.\u201d<\/p>\n

E.J. seems to be writing his own path rather than following in the footsteps of his father, the NFL\u2019s all-time leading rusher who spent 13 seasons playing for the Cowboys.<\/p>\n
