\n\tOn the heels of Sunday\u2019s Season 1 finale, Masterpiece PBS is giving us a first look at the upcoming second season of The Forstyes.<\/em><\/p>\n \n\tSeason 2 premieres next year on Masterpiece on PBS with actors Richard Rankin (Outlander<\/em>,\u00a0Rebus<\/em>), Sarah Alexander (Pennyworth<\/em>,\u00a0Jonathan Creek<\/em>) and Nia Ashi (Bob Marley: One Love<\/em>) joining the cast. They join BAFTA-winner\u00a0Francesca Annis\u00a0(Lillie<\/em>), who plays formidable matriarch Ann, along with Danny Griffin as Jo Forsyte, Tuppence Middleton as Frances Forsyte, Eleanor Tomlinson as Louisa Byrne, Joshua Orpin as Soames Forsyte, Millie Gibson as Irene Forsyte, Francesca Annis as Ann Forsyte, Stephen Moyer as Jolyon Forsyte Sr. and Jack Davenport as James Forsyte.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tThe adaptation of John Galsworthy\u2019s novel,\u00a0The Forsyte Saga, The Forsytes<\/em> is a sweeping portrait of a wealthy British family in 1880s London. Per the official logline: Desire, ambition and betrayal simmer at the heart of the\u00a0The Forsytes<\/em>\u00a0which chronicles the lives, loves, trials and triumphs of a wealthy Victorian era stockbroking family, whose generations find themselves torn between tradition and self-sacrifice versus personal happiness and the pursuit of love.<\/p>\n \n\tThe Forsytes<\/em> was renewed in March for a third season, ahead of the Season 1 premiere.<\/p>\n \n\tThe series is produced by Mammoth Screen. Debbie Horsfield (Poldark)<\/em>\u00a0penned the adaptation. Executive producers are Horsfield, Meenu Gaur, Michael Ray, and Damien Timmer for\u00a0Mammoth Screen, part of ITV Studios.
