Ethan Plath<\/strong>\u2019s grand gesture of surprising ex-girlfriend Teegan Nichols<\/strong> in Minnesota on Welcome to Plathville<\/em> appears to be backfiring.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was just shocked seeing him. I don\u2019t know. I think just too shocked to really feel anything else,\u201d Teegan admits in Us Weekly<\/em>\u2019s exclusive clip from the Tuesday, April 28, episode showing their reunion after Ethan, 27, drove to Minnesota from Georgia. \u201cYou know, [it\u2019s] nice seeing an old friend. I don\u2019t know what to say. Yeah, just shocked.\u201d<\/p>\n

Teegan is visibly surprised that Ethan is in her hometown after they broke up ahead of filming season 8, which premiered in March.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, we aren\u2019t dating. So he\u2019s supposed to be down in Georgia, not here,\u201d she tells the cameras as Ethan stands quietly next to her by a lake.<\/p>\n

Teegan makes it clear that Ethan\u2019s impromptu arrival in town hasn\u2019t changed things for her romantically \u2014 at least not yet.<\/p>\n

\u201cI told him when we broke up that I would never date him again if he wasn\u2019t living here or nearby. So that was and is a deal breaker for me,\u201d she explains. \u201cI also talked to him when we broke up and I reminded him last night that I don\u2019t want to date him if he\u2019s still married. And so those are just the two main, I guess, dealbreakers per se with him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Teegan then notes that \u201cas far as I know,\u201d Ethan is \u201cstill married\u201d to Olivia Plath<\/strong>. (Us<\/em> confirmed in April that Ethan and Olivia, 28, had finalized their divorce after announcing their split in October 2023.)<\/p>\n

Ethan, for his part, isn\u2019t giving up on his possible second chance with Teegan.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow that I\u2019m here and I\u2019ve told Teegan everything, she\u2019s waiting to see me actually move here. Is that right or no?\u201d he asks Teegan while staring at her awkwardly on the lakeshore.<\/p>\n

Teegan is taken aback by the question, replying, \u201cYeah. I\u2019ll believe it when I see it and that our current relationship isn\u2019t going to change for the time being.\u201d<\/p>\n

She appears unimpressed by Ethan\u2019s claims that he wants to live in Minnesota to be with her, telling the cameras, \u201cIf he moves here, he moves here. If he doesn\u2019t, he doesn\u2019t. Move here, move to Minnesota, stay down there, move to Africa. Like whatever you need to do.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI am moving here,\u201d Ethan declares, getting a big grin on his face.<\/p>\n

Teegan, however, admits she\u2019s still not sure about her future with Ethan even if he\u2019s living close.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think it\u2019s a matter of believing or not. I don\u2019t think you should distrust people. I think you should just trust people based on what they\u2019ve shown you,\u201d she explains. \u201cI trust [him] already [and] how he is. So we\u2019ll see if the patterns change.\u201d<\/p>\n
