With Scott Speedman<\/strong> finding success on ABC with RJ Decker<\/em>, does that mean his character Nick will die in the upcoming Grey\u2019s Anatomy<\/em> finale?<\/p>\n

\u201cThings have happened, like they do at that hospital in Seattle. So things happen, but we\u2019ll see what happens with Nick\u2019s fate for sure,\u201d Speedman teased of his character\u2019s future to TV Insider<\/em> earlier this month.<\/p>\n

Speedman called his return to Grey\u2019s Anatomy<\/em> for the season 22 finale \u201cexciting.\u201d. In the trailer for the upcoming episode of the medical drama, Nick was seen being wheeled into the hospital on a stretcher.<\/p>\n

\u201cLuckily, I was able [to do both shows], and I\u2019ve been filming in North Carolina, so it\u2019s very tricky to get in and out of,\u201d Speedman, who is also starring in ABC\u2019s RJ Decker, explained. \u201cSo I was able to get back to do an episode for the season finale of Grey\u2019s, and that was very fun and exciting.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tGrey\u2019s Anatomy has been going through a surprising amount of cast exits and onscreen deaths. The medical drama, which premiered in 2005, is focused on the personal and professional lives of surgical interns, residents and attendings at the fictional Seattle Grace Hospital a.k.a Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital a.k.a Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. He continued, \u201cWe were able to do it pretty quickly and then jump back on a plane and get back to R.J.-land. So it\u2019s tricky but doable.\u201d<\/p>\n

Speedman didn\u2019t rule out another return to Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love doing that show, and it\u2019s always fun,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n

While Nick\u2019s chances of returning are still high, Owen (Kevin McKidd<\/strong>) and Teddy (Kim Raver<\/strong>) are leaving the show at the end of the season. Raver, 57, reflected on the possibility she could be exiting Grey\u2019s Anatomy<\/em> shortly before news broke of the multiple cast departures.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I was on 24, I always felt like being Jack Bauer\u2019s girlfriend \u2014 I had a target on my back,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Raver, who has played Teddy since season 6, wanted to focus on the work she was doing on screen rather than worrying about her future employment.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s really just about trying to be present and doing the work and following the amazing story lines that the writers are giving us,\u201d she explained. \u201cEspecially with how now we\u2019re always having these incredible cliffhangers. One never knows.\u201d<\/p>\n
