\n\tEXCLUSIVE<\/strong>: Filming has recently wrapped in northern Portugal on feature drama The Odd Enchantment Of Madam P<\/em>, starring Maria de Medeiros (Pulp Fiction<\/em>), Trine Dyrholm (Queen Of Hearts<\/em>), Emily Beecham (Little Joe<\/em>), Tom Austen (Django<\/em> series), Mathieu Amalric (The French Dispatch<\/em>) and Alex Descas (Irma Vep<\/em>).<\/p>\n \n\tAlso starring are French actress, dancer, and circus performer Aur\u00e9lia Thi\u00e9rr\u00e9e (Goya\u2019s Ghosts<\/em>), the granddaughter of Charlie Chaplin, with Orion Lee (First Cow<\/em>), Albano Jeronimo (Remains Of The Wind<\/em>), Luke Eberl (Marfa Girl 2<\/em>) and Edgar Morais (Remains Of The Wind<\/em>).<\/p>\n \n\tThe film marks the fourth directorial outing of veteran New York filmmaker Sara Driver (Sleepwalk<\/em>), whose movies have played at Cannes, Toronto, Sundance and Locarno.<\/p>\n \n\tThe under-the-radar international co-production between Bulgaria, Portugal, and Greece heralds from U.S and European outfit Alaz Film, a co-producer on Sentimental Value<\/em> and Two Pianos<\/em>. <\/p>\n \n\tProducers are Kamen Velkovsky and Atilla Salih Y\u00fccer for Alaz Film; Rodrigo Areias for Bando a Parte; Amanda Livanou for Neda Films; and Konstantinos Kontovrakis for Kinestet.<\/p>\n \n\tThe synopsis reads: \u201cAfter surviving a mass shooting, Madame P., an internationally renowned opera singer, retreats into a world where dreams and reality blur freely. Walls come alive, figures dance in fireplace flames, tiny people need rescuing from dumplings, and an armadillo \u2014 her unlikely companion since the tragedy \u2014 follows her everywhere. A close friend and companion helps her navigate daily life. Her everyday life in a medieval mansion is interrupted by two American outsiders who arrive full of good intentions.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThe film\u2019s original score is composed by The Legendary Tigerman. Cinematography is by Rui Po\u00e7as (Frankie<\/em>) and editing will be done by Oscar nominee Yorgos Mavropsaridis (Poor Things<\/em>).<\/p>\n \n\tFinancial support for the project was provided by ICA Portugal and Greek Film Center with Timeless Studio (Poland) joining as financier and co-producer.<\/p>\n \n\tDriver is known for her work within the New York avant-garde film movement. Her debut film Sleepwalk<\/em> played at Cannes, Toronto, Sundance and others. Her 2017 documentary Boom for Real: The Late Teenage Years of Jean-Michel Basquiat<\/em> played at TIFF and New York.
