\n\tWhile Eric Kripke has never pulled his punches against Donald Trump on The Boys<\/em>, the series creator and showrunner has begun predicting the president\u2019s outlandish moves.<\/p>\n \n\tAfter unofficial Trump surrogate Homelander (Antony Starr) chillingly claimed in the episode \u2018Every One of You Sons of Bitches\u2019 that he is God, Kripke reacted to the Prime Video show\u2019s unsettling parallel to Trump\u2019s Truth Social post earlier this month with an AI-generated image depicting him as Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI am really tired and weary of the world reflecting the show before we get a chance to do it,\u201d he told Polygon. \u201cI appreciate the marketing. I\u2019m just like, can you just please give us a chance to put some absurd satire out there before you prove that it\u2019s more realistic than we ever intended?\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tKripke added, \u201cThis is the episode where Homelander decides he\u2019s going to be God and 48 hours before it, Trump releases an image of himself as God. A month ago when we were talking about marketing, I was like, Homelander saying he\u2019s God is so out there. We have to be careful about how we even introduce the idea to the public because they\u2019ll say he\u2019s gone too far and here we are. It\u2019s just really hard to out-satire this world.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tEarlier this month, Trump deleted the AI-generated image of him as Jesus following backlash from both sides of the aisle. <\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI thought it was me as a doctor and had to do with Red Cross,\u201d he claimed to press. \u201cIt\u2019s supposed to be me as a doctor making people better. And I do make people better.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tKripke previously noted that the current fifth and final season of The Boys<\/em> was written before the 2024 presidential election, noting it\u2019s \u201creally f*cking unsettling\u201d that an upcoming plot point in the upcoming seventh episode has \u201calready happened\u201d in real life.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
