Saturday Night Live<\/i><\/span> writer Jimmy Fowlie<\/strong> is sharing an update on his missing sister, Christina Lynn Downer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe LAPD has informed our family that Christina is no longer alive, and the case has officially transitioned from a missing person to a homicide investigation,\u201d Fowlie wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, April 29. \u201cOur prayers for her to be found safely have transformed into prayers for the truth to be revealed and for those responsible to be held accountable.\u201d<\/p>\n

In December 2025, Fowlie first asked for the public\u2019s help<\/span> in locating his missing sister.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy sister has been missing and we are worried that she isn\u2019t safe,\u201d he wrote via Instagram<\/span> at the time. \u201cHer married name is Downer but she may go by Christina Fowlie. Please share this so that if anyone has seen her, they can give any information to the police.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fowlie listed a phone number to contact police and a case number before confirming his sister was last seen in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have reason to believe that in the weeks before she went missing, her phone and social media were compromised. The individual(s) in possession of her phone used it to hide the fact she was gone, to ask for money and to create a false narrative that she was going \u2018off the grid,’\u201d Fowlie claimed in his latest update. \u201cI am sharing this because I believe that whoever is responsible is hoping to erase her in every way possible. I want to amplify her story in the only way I know how. And to express that she was a beautiful person who matters in this world, especially to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fowlie encouraged followers of the case to share his latest Instagram post to spread awareness. He also urged anyone with information to go to the Los Angeles Police Department as takes a social media beak \u201cdue to the intense overwhelming feelings.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI believe there is a chance that someone who knows something might find the courage to step forward,\u201d he added. \u201cMy sister can no longer advocate for herself, but I can and I hope you will too.\u201d<\/p>\n

Back in December, Fowlie shared key details about his sister that could potentially help locate her.<\/p>\n

\u201cChristina is very attached to her dog Rex. He\u2019s a min pin and if you see her, chances are he\u2019d be with her,\u201d he wrote via Instagram<\/span> in December 2025. \u201cLast seen in Koreatown. I heard from her on Nov 26th. She was active on social media up to Dec 15th. At this time the detectives have advised us not to share certain details so we don\u2019t compromise the case.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Los Angeles Police Department also issued a press release<\/span>\u00a0confirming authorities are looking for Downer.<\/p>\n

According to officials, Downer was last contacted on December 10, 2025 via a text message with a friend.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe family wants the public to be aware that Christina Downer has no known medical conditions and has not gone missing before,\u201d police shared. \u201cChristina Downer is described as a 38-year-old female with black hair and brown eyes. She stands five feet one inch tall and weighs approximately 115 pounds.\u201d<\/p>\n

Downer\u2019s image spread online and through social media after several celebrities shared Fowlie\u2019s posts.<\/p>\n
