Jinger Duggar<\/strong> is getting candid about how she\u2019s dealt with \u201cheavy\u201d feelings amid brother Joseph Duggar<\/strong>\u2019s child sex abuse case.<\/p>\n

During a Wednesday, April 29, Q&A session on Jinger\u2019s Instagram Story, a fan asked the 19 Kids and Counting<\/em> alum if she\u2019s doing \u201cOK\u201d amid the scandal.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou look so disconnected in your podcasts,\u201d the fan added. \u201cIt\u2019s OK to not be OK. I am sorry.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jinger, 32, responded, \u201cThanks for asking. It\u2019s been a heavy season that reopened old wounds.\u201d<\/p>\n

Joseph, 31, was arrested on March 18 and charged with one count of lewd and lascivious behavior for molesting a victim under 12 and one count of lewd and lascivious behavior by a person over 18. A 14-year-old girl accused the former reality TV star of touching her inappropriately multiple times on a vacation in Panama City Beach, Florida, when she was 9 years old.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tJinger Duggar and her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, are speaking out after the arrests of Joseph Duggar and his wife, Kendra Duggar. \u201cI mean, it has been such a long week,\u201d Jinger, 32, said on the Wednesday, March 25, episode of her \u201cJinger & Jeremy\u201d podcast. \u201cIt\u2019s been one of those weeks that feels like years. [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Joseph\u2019s case comes five years after brother Josh Duggar<\/strong> was convicted on charges of receiving and possessing child sexual abuse material. The disgraced TLC personality, 38, is currently serving a nearly 12-year prison sentence.<\/p>\n

Additionally, in 2015, Josh reportedly confessed to molesting multiple young girls, including some of his sisters.<\/p>\n

Jinger continued on Wednesday, \u201cI wanted to talk about these things on the pod, and at the same time, it\u2019s honestly so hard to do. I\u2019ve been plugged in deep with my community here, not as active on socials, enjoying fun days with my little fam, and God is giving me help as I see brighter days ahead.\u201d<\/p>\n

Two days after Joseph\u2019s arrest, he was hit with additional charges of endangering the welfare of a minor and four counts of second-degree false imprisonment. His wife, Kendra Duggar<\/strong>, was also arrested on the same charges. (Joseph and Kendra, 27, share four children.)<\/p>\n

A source exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> at the time that the additional charges and Kendra\u2019s arrest had \u201cnothing to do\u201d with Joseph\u2019s child sex abuse case in Florida.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter his charge, they automatically do a home study if minors live there. They came to [Kendra\u2019s] house,\u201d the source said. \u201cApparently, they had two rooms where the lock of the doorknob was on the outside instead of inside. They arrested her and took her kids for that, saying it\u2019s evidence that she wrongly detains her kids.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kendra pleaded not guilty to the charges and was released on a $1,470 bond. She was initially ordered to have no contact with her alleged victims, but on April 17, a judge approved her lawyer\u2019s request to have the order lifted.<\/p>\n
