New details regarding Patrick Muldoon<\/span><\/strong>\u2019s health prior to his untimely death have been revealed less than two weeks after his fatal heart attack<\/span>.<\/p>\n

According to his death certificate exclusively obtained by Us Weekly<\/i> on Wednesday, April 29, Muldoon\u2019s immediate cause of death was myocardial infarction, commonly known as a heart attack.<\/p>\n

The underlying causes included hereditary coagulopathy disorder, a genetic condition that impairs the blood\u2019s ability to form clots properly. Pulmonary embolism was also listed as an underlying cause, which is a blood clot that travels to and blocks a vital artery or the lungs.<\/p>\n

Muldoon was ultimately cremated on Tuesday, April 28, according to the death certificate released by the County of Los Angeles\u2019 Department of Public Health.\u00a0 The certificate also lists his occupation as actor and producer and outlines that he was never married.<\/p>\n

The <\/i>Days of Our Lives<\/i><\/span> and Starship Troopers<\/i> actor died on April 19 shortly before 11 a.m. following a heart attack at the age of 57. After his manager confirmed the news, many costars and close friends shared powerful tributes and emotional memories about Muldoon.<\/p>\n

Muldoon\u2019s close friend and ex-girlfriend Denise Richards<\/strong> was one of the many stars to share a heartfelt message online<\/span>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is so hard for me to put into words. I am deeply heartbroken & devastated losing you. You were my best friend & my family,\u201d Richards, 55, wrote via Instagram<\/span> on April 21. \u201cWe met in our first acting class, I was 19 never had an acting job and you were 21 a student at USC doing a recurring role on Who\u2019s the Boss<\/i>.\u201d<\/p>\n
