Mike Vrabel <\/b>apparently has the overwhelming support of New England Patriots fans amid his ongoing photo scandal with sports journalist Dianna Russini.<\/b><\/p>\n

Vrabel, 50, attended a ticketholder fan event on Wednesday, April 29, where he was greeted with a rousing standing ovation, per social media footage<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Vrabel returned to work earlier this week<\/span> after seeking counseling amid the scandal.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs I said the other day, I promised my family, this organization and this team that I was going to give them the best version of me that I can possibly give them,\u201d the Patriots head coach said in an April 22 statement. \u201cIn order to do so, I have committed to seeking counseling, starting this weekend. \u201cThis is something that I have given a lot of thought to and is something I would advise a player to do if I was counseling them.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tNew England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel spoke in public for the first time since controversial photos were published of him and NFL insider Dianna Russini. \u201cI\u2019ve had some difficult conversations with people that I care about: my family, the organization, the coaches, the players,\u201d Vrabel, 50, told reporters on Tuesday, April 21. \u201cThose have [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He continued, \u201cI have always wanted to lead by example, and I believe this is what I have to do to be the best husband, father and coach that I possibly can be. This is not an easy thing for me to admit, but it is one that I know will make me a better person. I appreciate the support that everyone has given me and promise a stronger resolve as a result.\u201d<\/p>\n

Vrabel and Russini, 43, have been spotted in multiple photos together<\/span> from 2020 to earlier this year, raising eyebrows about their relationship status. (Both Vrabel and Russini are married to other people, with whom they share children.)<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s a personal and private matter,\u201d Vrabel said during an April 23 press conference<\/span>, addressing the scandal. \u201cI think that was an attempt to protect your family and I would never be dismissive. I think my family and this football team are the most important thing \u2026 I\u2019m excited about the challenge with both of those things.\u201d<\/p>\n

Russini, who has also downplayed her relationship with Vrabel, has since resigned from her position covering football for The Athletic.<\/i><\/p>\n
