Mission: Impossible<\/em> star Ving Rhames<\/strong> is reportedly recovering after collapsing in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

Rhames, 66, was out to eat with his family at an L.A. restaurant on Wednesday, April 29, when he collapsed at his table, per TMZ. The acclaimed actor was reportedly in and out of consciousness as paramedics rushed him to a local hospital.<\/p>\n

An L.A. City Fire spokesperson told the outlet that its EMS staff tended to a man in his 60s at around 1:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday before transporting him for medical treatment.<\/p>\n

His rep told TMZ that they\u2019d been in touch with Rhames and that the actor is feeling \u201cfine.\u201d The Golden Globe winner told his spokesperson that he was potentially \u201coverheated\u201d but was being kept under observation at the hospital as a precaution.<\/p>\n

Us Weekly<\/em> has reached out to Rhames\u2019 spokesperson and L.A. City Fire for comment.<\/p>\n

He got his start in acting while training at New York City\u2019s prestigious Juilliard School and delivered his breakout stage performance at the Shakespeare in the Park production of William Shakespeare<\/strong>\u2019s Richard III<\/em> in 1983.<\/p>\n

By the early 1990s, Rhames made the jump to the big screen with appearances in horror hits such as Jacob\u2019s Ladder<\/em> and The People Under the Stairs<\/em>. Director Quentin Tarantino<\/strong> cast him in a pivotal role as gangster Marsellus Wallace in 1994\u2019s Pulp Fiction<\/em>, in which he costarred with John Travolta<\/strong>, Samuel L. Jackson<\/strong> and Uma Thurman<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Rhames followed up Pulp Fiction<\/em> by playing terrorist Nathan \u201cDiamond Dog\u201d Jones in Nicolas Cage<\/strong>\u2019s 1997 action blockbuster Con Air<\/em>, which made more than $200 million at the box office. He delivered memorable performances in crime thriller Out of Sight<\/em>, coming-of-age drama Baby Boy<\/em> and the horror remake Dawn of the Dead<\/em> into the early 2000s, in addition to voicing social worker Cobra Bubbles in 2002\u2019s Disney animated classic Lilo & Stitch<\/em>.<\/p>\n
