Meghan McCain<\/strong> predicted a huge upset victory for The Hills<\/em> star Spencer Pratt<\/strong> in the Los Angeles mayoral race.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m telling you this guy is going to win,\u201d McCain, 41, wrote via X on Wednesday, April 29.<\/p>\n

The former View<\/em> panelist responded enthusiastically to a new campaign ad from Pratt, 42, where he visited Mayor Karen Bass<\/strong> and rival candidate Councilwoman Nithya Raman<\/strong>\u2019s L.A.-area homes.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is where Mayor Bass lives. Notice something? Or, here where Nithya Raman\u2019s $3 million mansion sits,\u201d he declares. \u201cThey don\u2019t have to live in the mess they\u2019ve created.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pratt details his entire TV journey in his upcoming book, The Guy You Loved to Hate, out January 27, beginning with the short-lived Princes of Malibu, a show he sold to Fox starring his best friend Brody Jenner. When Princes didn\u2019t last after Jenner\u2019s mom, Linda Thompson, [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The ad then cut to Pratt standing in front of a trailer where he and wife Heidi Monta<\/strong>g lived after they lost their homes in the 2025 California wildfires. (Pratt and Montag share two children: Gunner Stone Pratt, 8, and Ryker Rock Pratt, 3.)<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is where I live,\u201d he said in a scene outside the trailer. \u201cThey let my home burn down. I know what the consequences of failed leadership are. That\u2019s why I\u2019m running for mayor, for my sons and the rest of us Angelenos who want to stop these corrupt politicians from destroying our city. We are going to get the golden age of Los Angeles back.\u201d<\/p>\n

Us Weekly <\/em>has reached out to Mayor Bass and Councilwoman Raman\u2019s campaigns for comment.<\/p>\n

In January, Pratt announced his bid for Los Angeles mayor on the anniversary of the Palisades Fire, which killed 12 people and burned more than 6,800 homes near Pacific Palisades, California.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe system in Los Angeles isn\u2019t struggling, it\u2019s fundamentally broken,\u201d Pratt said at the \u201cThey Let Us Burn\u201d public demonstration. \u201cIt is a machine designed to protect the people at the top and the friends they exchange favors with while the rest of us drown in toxic smoke and ash. Business as usual is a death sentence for Los Angeles, and I\u2019m done waiting for someone to take real action.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pratt has risen in recent polls to become a legitimate contender in the race and received endorsements from Joe Rogan<\/strong>, The Hills<\/em> costar Kristin Cavallari<\/strong> and podcaster Nick Viall<\/strong>, among others.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is more The Hills<\/em>, but coming off of Laguna<\/em> [Beach<\/em>], I had a lot of people say, \u2018Talk about Spencer running for mayor.\u2019 So you know what? Let\u2019s talk about it,\u201d Cavallari, 39, teased during the April 21 episode of her \u201cLet\u2019s Be Honest\u201d podcast. \u201cI think Spencer running for mayor is f***ing genius. Because I think everyone in politics \u2014 I don\u2019t care what side you\u2019re on \u2014 everyone is corrupt.\u201d<\/p>\n

Spencer\u2019s sister and former The Hills<\/em> costar, Stephanie Pratt<\/strong>, was not supportive of the campaign, urging Los Angeles voters not to elect \u201canother unqualified and inexperienced mayor.\u201d<\/p>\n
