Wilson was shot dead last week<\/h2>\n<p>On Wednesday, April 22 \u2014 the night before the <em>Summer House<\/em> reunion filmed \u2014 police in Carroll County responded to reports of a shooting.<\/p>\n<p><em>TMZ <\/em>reports that first responders found 75-year-old Gayle R. Wilson dead at the residence.<\/p>\n<p>A witness told officers that Dakota Sweeney of Carrollton, Missouri was sitting quietly in the same room as the victim for some time.<\/p>\n<p>Then, they reported, he allegedly shot her to death with a handgun.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s unclear what the motive may have been. But the witness told police that Sweeney and Wilson had argued earlier in the evening, as apparently Sweeney had not been sufficiently helpful with household chores.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"West Wilson Cousin Arrested and Charged in Grandmother Gayle Wilson Death\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/2Y8ZxL_mnww?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>According to police reports, officers found a holster on Sweeney\u2019s person.<\/p>\n<p><em>TMZ<\/em>\u2018s report does not say much about the gun itself.<\/p>\n<p>However, apparently officers were able to arrest Sweeney without incident at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>He is being charged with first-degree murder.<\/p>\n<p>Sweeney\u2019s mother, Kelly, is Gayle R. Wilson\u2019s stepchild.<\/p>\n<p>So, yes, the <em>Summer House<\/em> star\u2019s cousin was arrested for allegedly killing their shared grandmother.<\/p>\n<p>And yes, it happened the night before a particularly brutal <em>Summer House<\/em> reunion.<\/p>\n<p>Though he and Amanda Batula have insisted that they did not cheat on their respective exes, many people feel that the timeline seems suspect.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps the bigger issue was the dishonestly. Amanda was besties with Ciara, his ex. (These specials take <em>all day<\/em> to film. Andy Cohen said that this one took about 10 hours.)<\/p>\n<p>Our hearts go out to all of Gayle R.
