Emilie Kiser<\/strong> is spreading awareness for drowning prevention nearly one year after her 3-year-old son Trigg\u2019s tragic death.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur son Trigg passed away from a preventable drowning accident,\u201d Kiser said in a TikTok video uploaded on Thursday, April 30. \u201cThis video is about my son Trigg and hopefully helping other families and other children. This is a topic I will continue to talk about when I feel comfortable because it is extremely hard to talk about. I hope people can understand that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kiser reiterated that Trigg\u2019s death, which occurred in 2025, was \u201ca preventable accident.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI will always take full accountability for that because as a parent it is your job to protect your child,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tEmilie Kiser is opening up about her grief on the 10-month anniversary of her son Trigg\u2019s death. \u201cToday is officially 10 months since we lost our son Trigg to a preventable drowning accident,\u201d the 27-year-old influencer wrote via her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, March 18. \u201cI continue to feel like I have no words in [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Kiser shared that \u201cdrownings happen every single day\u201d and drowning is the \u201cnumber one cause of death\u201d in children from ages one to four.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat is an extremely hard statistic to swallow because I truly just can\u2019t believe how much it happens,\u201d she reflected.<\/p>\n

Kaiser explained that she was \u201cpassionate\u201d to speak up about the topic now because the summer months are approaching and May is Water Safety Awareness month.<\/p>\n

\u201cMay is Water Safety Awareness month and a lot of kids are going to be swimming and unfortunately more drownings are gonna happen,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd I really hope if you see this video you please please please install a pool fence, make sure you have door alarms, make sure if you have door alarms all of your batteries are updated. Please make sure you watch your children around the water.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kaiser advocated for parents to enroll their children in swim lessons, especially infant swimming resource (ISR) lessons. (ISR lessons are survival swim sessions for children from 6 months to 6 years old. The classes focus on teaching self-rescue skills to prevent drowning.)<\/p>\n

\u201cISR gives your child a chance to live. We have already seen such a dramatic change in our son who is only a year old by having him in ISR lessons every single day,\u201d she said of her and husband Brady Kiser<\/strong>\u2019s 13-month-old son, Teddy. \u201cI cannot believe how quickly he has picked up the techniques. I am so proud of him.\u201d<\/p>\n

The influencer also encouraged parents to \u201cget updated on CPR\u201d because it is an \u201cimportant\u201d life-saving skill that can be used on anyone in danger.<\/p>\n

Last year, Emilie confirmed that Trigg died after he was found unconscious in their backyard pool.<\/p>\n

\u201cTrigg is our baby and our best friend. The light and spirit he brought into this world was bright, pure, joyful and undeniable,\u201d she wrote via Instagram in May 2025. \u201cWe miss him every second of every day and continuing forward often feels unbearable. I never thought we would experience grief in this way or the pain of losing him so suddenly.\u201d<\/p>\n

The influencer broke her silence on the incident via Instagram on Thursday, August 28, sharing a lengthy note on navigating grief after her 3-year-old\u2019s accidental drowning at the family\u2019s home in May. \u201cLoss of this magnitude feels impossible [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Us Weekly<\/em> previously reported that Emilie was not home at the time of the incident. Brady, meanwhile, told authorities that he was home alone with their two sons. The Chandler, Arizona Police Department investigated the incident and recommended \u201ca Class 4 felony charge of child abuse against Brady Kiser.\u201d The Maricopa County Attorney\u2019s Office ultimately declined to pursue charges against Brady because there was \u201cno likelihood of conviction.\u201d<\/p>\n
