The hair is too long for the wigs,\u201d Mellencamp said via the video, as she ran her fingers through her hair. \u201cAnd I\u2019m sick of the wigs, but like what are we supposed to do here? I can\u2019t. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, 43, took to her Instagram Story on Wednesday, February 26, with an update from a doctor\u2019s office. \u201cGot my staples out today,\u201d she captioned a black-and-white video of herself sitting in an exam [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>In the post\u2019s caption, Mellencamp again requested assistance, jokingly comparing her hairstyle to that of her 11-year-old son Cruz. (Mellencamp also shares Slate, 13, and Dove, 6, with her ex-husband <strong>Edwin Arroyave<\/strong>. Mellencamp is also the stepmother of Arroyave\u2019s eldest daughter, Isabella, 17. Mellencamp and Arroyave announced their split in November 2024.)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s not lost on me how much my hair has grown since the brain surgeries,\u201d Mellencamp wrote in the caption. \u201cHowever, I currently have the same hairstyle as Cruz and I don\u2019t have nearly enough \u2018rizz\u2019 for that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She added, \u201cSo what exactly is the answer to hair at this stage? I hate to break [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Several weeks after the surgery, Mellencamp shared that five more tumors had been found and she would be undergoing treatment for these as well.<\/p>\n<p>In January, Mellencamp spoke candidly about her ordeal and shared she had sought therapy as she navigated cancer amid other challenges in her life, such as her divorce from Arroyave.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think [medications and immunotherapy] take a toll on my body, and I think that I also didn\u2019t properly process all of the things that happened when I had surgery,\u201d Mellencamp said on her \u201cTwo T\u2019s in a Pod\u201d podcast. \u201cFrom my divorce to all of a sudden being in emergency surgery, to not being able to see my kids when I was recovering.
