Saturday Night Live<\/em> writer Jimmy Fowlie<\/strong> revealed in December 2025 that his sister Christina Lynn Downer<\/strong> went missing. He shared a heartbreaking update four months after her disappearance, telling social media followers that she is no longer alive.<\/p>\n

When Fowlie first went public with details about Downer\u2019s disappearance in December 2025, his message spread through Hollywood. The SNL<\/em> writer\u2019s industry connections led notable names across comedy and reality TV to amplify his message in real time.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy sister has been missing and we are worried that she isn\u2019t safe,\u201d Fowlie captioned a social media post at the time. \u201cHer married name is Downer but she may go by Christina Fowlie. Please share this so that if anyone has seen her, they can give any information to the police.\u201d<\/p>\n

The LAPD later confirmed Downer was last contacted via text on December 10, 2025. Officials described her as a 38-year-old woman with black hair and brown eyes, standing 5 feet, 1 inch tall and weighing approximately 115 pounds. \u201cThe family wants the public to be aware that Christina Downer has no known medical conditions and has not gone missing before,\u201d police said.<\/p>\n

Jimmy Fowlie\u2019s Update on Christina Downer<\/h2>\n

The SNL<\/i> writer broke the news on April, 29, 2026, that the search for Downer had been adjusted to a homicide investigation.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe LAPD has informed our family that Christina is no longer alive, and the case has officially transitioned from a missing person to a homicide investigation,\u201d Fowlie wrote on social media<\/span>. \u201cOur prayers for her to be found safely have transformed into prayers for the truth to be revealed and for those responsible to be held accountable.\u201d<\/p>\n

One day later, the LAPD released a statement with new, additional information.<\/p>\n

\u201cRobbery-Homicide Division continues to investigate the disappearance of Christina Downer,\u201d LAPD said in a statement to Us Weekly<\/em> on April 30, 2026. \u201cAlthough the circumstances of her disappearance are suspicious, Ms. Downer has not been located, and her case has not been reclassified as a homicide. RHD will diligently investigate this case until a resolution can be reached.\u201d<\/p>\n
