Amy Grant<\/strong> opened up about leaning on husband Vince Gill<\/strong> for support after suffering a traumatic brain injury.<\/p>\n

Grant, 65, candidly spoke about healing from her 2022 brain injury during a Thursday, April 30, episode of the \u201cWild Card With Rachel Martin\u201d podcast. \u201cI just remember in the fall of 2022, when my world was very quiet, I remember saying to Vince, \u2018What if this is all I get back? What if this is it?\u2019\u201d she recalled.<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause to me, it\u2019s like the world is in a conversation and I am down the hall and in a back bedroom,\u201d she continued. \u201cMy response time, I love people making me laugh, I love delivering a great one-liner, but that doesn\u2019t happen when you\u2019re three steps behind the room.\u201d<\/p>\n

Grant, who suffered her injury after falling off a bicycle, recalled Gill, 69, telling her, \u201cAmy, life happens to everyone one of us every day. A virtuoso musician could have a stroke and never be able to pick up their instrument again. All you do is live the life that you get. You just take the hand you\u2019re dealt that day and live the life that you get.\u201d<\/p>\n
