Josh Duggar<\/strong> reportedly lamented about being judged by family members in an angry text to his mother following his 2021 conviction for receiving and possessing child pornography.<\/p>\n \u201c[F]amily members continuing to judge and condemn, saying hurtful things is so hard to deal with,\u201d Josh, 38, wrote to mom Michelle Duggar<\/strong> in a text obtained by People<\/em> on Friday, May 1.<\/p>\n The 19 Kids and Counting<\/em> alum added that he received \u201cmore compassion and love from strangers\u201d than he did from members of his own family and \u201cclose \u2018friends.’\u201d<\/p>\n Josh then wrote that he was \u201cstill in shock and awe of how hurtful and judgmental people can be,\u201d noting that some family members were exhibiting \u201cless character\u201d than even \u201cnon-believers,\u201d whom he would expect to be \u201cprideful and hateful.\u201d<\/p>\n The disgraced reality TV alum alleged that there was a lack of \u201cdecency and respect\u201d for the \u201cseven little kids and wife crying themselves to sleep every night without daddy,\u201d referring to wife Anna Duggar<\/strong> and their children.<\/p>\n The text continued to argue that some people were willing \u201cto get on an airplane or drive [a] truck and trailer to help perfect strangers \u2026 risking their lives\u201d at times, but they lacked compassion for him or his family.<\/p>\n \u201c[E]ven just to be quiet and shut up and not say anything, but no, its [sic] like they enjoy it and they have been waiting to ambush me,\u201d Josh wrote to his mom, per People. \u201c[These family members] are glad to gloss over their own personal \u2018indiscretions\u2019 [and speak about] redemption, love, grace, mercy, wisdom,\u201d but fail to exhibit those same virtues for Josh, Anna, 37, and their kids.<\/p>\n Josh argued that he would support these people if they were in his position.<\/p>\n According to the outlet, Josh maintained his innocence in the text, telling his Michelle, 59, that he was \u201cstruggling with raw pain and hurts [sic]\u201d from family members and \u201cthe guy who did the crime that put me in here.\u201d He claimed that this alleged person was on the \u201ctop of my list [of people he is] trying to forgive.\u201d<\/p>\n Michelle reportedly later responded to the text saying, \u201cI\u2019m so sorry for all that you, your precious bride, and sweet children are going through.
