Jon Cryer<\/strong> is shedding more light into his troubled relationship with his former Two and a Half Men<\/em> costar Charlie Sheen<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Appearing on The View<\/em> on Friday, May 1, Cryer, 61, reflected on his \u201ccomplicated\u201d dynamic with Sheen as he spoke about taking part in the 2025 Netflix documentary, aka Charlie Sheen<\/i>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was interesting,\u201d Cryer said during his appearance on The View<\/em>. \u201cI had a lot of mixed feelings about being a part of that because obviously he\u2019s a very complicated guy and we had a complicated relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cryer explained that he had his issues with Sheen, 60, as he went \u201coff the rails\u201d during a highly publicized battle with addiction, but then realized he was more frustrated at the public for reveling in the troubled actor\u2019s downfall.\u00a0 (Sheen was ultimately fired from the sitcom in 2011 after a series of public melt downs and replaced with Ashton Kutcher<\/strong> for the remaining seasons.)<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tCharlie Sheen explained why his former Two and a Half Man costar Jon Cryer was the \u201cone person\u201d he didn\u2019t \u201cpersonally\u201d ask to participate in his tell-all Netflix documentary. \u201cI didn\u2019t have the right number for him, so the director [Andrew Renzi] reached out to him,\u201d Sheen, 60, told People after aka Charlie Sheen was [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cMostly I realized that I wasn\u2019t mad at him anymore; I was still kind of mad at America,\u201d Cryer explained of his decision to take part in Sheen\u2019s documentary.<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cI knew him as a friend, as a coworker, so it was really painful to see all that and see that craziness and see a lot of people enjoying it. So that\u2019s part of why I kind of wanted to, obviously, say my side of the story.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the documentary released in September 2025, Cryer was incredibly candid while speaking about his experience working on Two and a Half Men<\/em> with Sheen while the Platoon<\/em> actor\u2019s spiraling personal life dramas began to eclipse the show.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s in the midst of falling apart in every way I can imagine and he\u2019s renegotiating his contract for another year of a show I am supposed to be on too. Apparently they had pre-sold a couple of extra seasons of the show. It was worth their while to spend this astonishing amount of money on Charlie,\u201d Cryer recalled on the documentary.<\/p>\n

The Pretty in Pink<\/em> star added,\u00a0 \u201c[Charlie\u2019s] negotiations went off the charts because his life was falling apart. Me, whose life was pretty good at that time, I got a third of that.\u201d<\/p>\n
