Alex Vesia <\/b>and his wife, Kayla Vesia<\/b>, are still grieving the death of their baby daughter.<\/p>\n

\u201cHere I am at the six-month mark since losing my daughter, Sterling,\u201d Kayla, 30, said in a Friday, May 1, video shared via TikTok<\/span>. \u201cHonestly, it\u2019s very hard to wrap my head around the fact that we are at the six-month mark. I\u2019m very torn and in between, \u2018How did we get here already?\u2019 and \u2018Seems about right since time is also flying by.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Kayla and Alex, also 30, announced in November 2025<\/span> that their \u201cbeautiful daughter went to heaven.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are no words to describe the pain we\u2019re going through but we hold her in our hearts and cherish every second we had with her,\u201d the couple captioned a social media statement at the time. \u201cThank you to the Dodgers for their understanding and support during this time. Our baseball family showed up for us and we wouldn\u2019t be able to do this without them.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tLos Angeles Dodgers pitcher Alex Vesia and his wife, Kayla Vesia, have spoken openly about the devastating death of their newborn daughter, Sterling Sol, and the grief that they\u2019ve endured. Alex and Kayla, who have been married since January 2024, announced the next year that they were expecting their first baby. They confirmed their daughter\u2019s [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Alex sat out the remainder of the MLB playoffs, including the 2025 World Series that the Dodgers eventually won. He returned for the next season earlier this year, wearing a tribute to Sterling<\/span> on his new glove.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know how to explain it. I have a mix of the longest days of my life \u2026 but now what really consumes my mind is thoughts of what life could be like right now with her here,\u201d Kayla acknowledged in her Friday upload. \u201c[I] wish she was here and I wish she was joining Alex and I in this life, all the things we do and planned for all of that. It\u2019s really hard now to not have that.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cEverything just seemed so dark, so heavy [at the time]. Now, where we are, it still [is] really f***ing heavy, but there are glimmers and flashes and times of happiness, a lot more, and I am so thankful for that \u2018cause that\u2019s helping move us forward.\u201d<\/p>\n
