The party began at another location and moved to the apartment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Police said preliminary information indicated several people were asked to leave the original location but later showed up at the apartment complex. They tried to enter the apartment and opened fire using what police described as a \u201crifle-style weapon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Two people died in the shooting, police said. An ABC 7 photojournalist described hearing machine gun fire overnight.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Police said the investigation is ongoing. It\u2019s unclear if a suspect has been identified yet.
