\n\tBeau Starr, the actor who appeared in Goodfellas<\/em> (1990) and multiple Halloween<\/em> films, has died. He was 81.<\/p>\n \n\tPraising him as \u201cvery uniqie and special,\u201d the actor\u2019s brother Mike Starr announced that Beau died peacefully of natural causes on Friday in Vancouver, Canada, according to TMZ.<\/p>\n \n\tBorn Sept. 1, 1944 in Queens, New York, Beau Starr was a professional baseball player on the New York Jets\u2019 practice squad from 1966 to \u201968, before moving on to the Canadian Football League\u2019s Montreal Alouettes and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.<\/p>\n \n\tIn 1979, Starr made his onscreen debut in the sketch comedy show Bizarre, going on to episodes of TJ Hooker<\/em>, Cagney & Lacey<\/em>, Three\u2019s Company<\/em>, Knight Rider<\/em>, Remington Steele<\/em>, The A-Team<\/em>, MacGyver<\/em>, The Fall Guy<\/em>, Moonlighting<\/em>, Night Court<\/em>, Matlock<\/em>, Murder She Wrote<\/em>, Wings<\/em>, NYPD Blue<\/em>, The Dead Zone<\/em>, Psych<\/em> and more. <\/p>\n \n\tHe also starred in the short-lived NBC crime drama True Blue<\/em> (1989-\u201990) as Lt. Bill Triplett, in addition to playing Lt. Harding Welsh in the CTV crime comedy Due South<\/em> from 1994 to \u201999.<\/p>\n \n\tStarr\u2019s movie credits include the role of Sheriff Ben Meeker in Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers<\/em> (1988) and Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers<\/em> (1989), as well as appearances in Fletch<\/em> (1985), Goodfellas<\/em> (1990), Speed<\/em> (1994), Devil in a Blue Dress<\/em> (1995), Cinderella Man<\/em> (2005) and more.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
