Bringing Up Bates<\/i> alum Warden Bates <\/b>and his girlfriend, Kaybrie Patterson<\/b>, are engaged after a whirlwind courtship.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe easiest yes \ud83e\udd0d\ud83d\udc8d<\/span>,\u201d the couple captioned joint proposal photos via Instagram<\/span> on Saturday, May 2.<\/p>\n

Patterson shared more photos from the romantic moment via her Instagram Stories, writing, \u201cI cannot wait to be your wife. I love you more than words.\u201d<\/p>\n

After Bates got down on one knee and Patterson accepted his proposal, he presented his bride-to-be with a cushion-cut diamond ring and a bouquet of red roses.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThe Bringing Up Bates family has long followed a courtship process before marriage. Gil and Kelly Jo Bates are parents of 19 children: Zach, Michaela, Erin, Lawson, Nathan, Alyssa, Tori, Trace, Carlin, Josie, Katie, Jackson, Warden, Isaiah, Addallee, Ellie, Callie, Jud and Jeb. Gil and Kelly Jo\u2019s expansive brood soon became the subjects of 2012\u2019s [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cAfter the proposal, our friends and family surprised us with the sweetest engagement party,\u201d Patterson revealed via her Instagram Stories. \u201cThank you mom, Jennifer and Kylie. It was amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Warden, 22, is one of the 19 children of Bringing Up Bates <\/i>couple Gil <\/b>and Kelly Jo Bates.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cSo incredibly thankful for this special day to celebrate Warden\u2019s & Kaybrie\u2019s engagement,\u201d the proud parents wrote via Instagram<\/span>. \u201cWe\u2019re beyond thrilled to see the smiles they\u2019ve brought each other, & we\u2019ve already all fallen in love with Kaybrie\u2019s sweet, fun, enthusiastic personality! Couldn\u2019t feel more blessed!\u201d<\/p>\n

Gil, 61, and Kelly Jo, 59, were also present at Warden and Patterson\u2019s engagement party.<\/p>\n

\u201c[Kelly Jo], you are amazing!\u201d Patterson gushed via her Stories. \u201cCannot wait to have you as my mother-in-law!\u201d<\/p>\n

Kelly Jo reposted Patterson\u2019s upload onto her page, adding that her future daughter-in-law is \u201csuch a sweetheart.\u201d<\/p>\n

Several of Warden\u2019s siblings also celebrated the occasion.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo happy for you guys \ud83d\ude0d\ud83e\udd0d<\/span>,\u201d Katie Bates <\/b>commented on Saturday, while Josie Bates <\/b>added, \u201cAHHHHHH \ud83d\ude0d\ud83d\ude0d\ud83d\ude0d\ud83d\ude0d<\/span> SO EXCITED. Congratulations! Love you guys so much !! \ud83d\udc95\ud83d\udc95\ud83d\udc95<\/span>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Warden and Patterson debuted their relationship nearly two months before getting engaged.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou + me + Charleston,\u201d Patterson wrote via Instagram in March, sharing pics of the couple holding hands in South Carolina.<\/p>\n

Most of the Bates siblings have followed in their parents\u2019 courtship tradition<\/span>.<\/p>\n

\u201cCourtship is basically getting to know someone with the intent of marriage,\u201d Warden\u2019s sister Michael \u201cMichaela\u201d Bates <\/b>said on a 2015 episode of Bringing Up Bates. <\/i>\u201c[It\u2019s] taking out the step of dating around for fun that can get you into trouble.\u201d<\/p>\n
