President Donald Trump<\/strong>\u2019s dance moves have become a notorious aspect of his persona \u2014 and his wife, first lady Melania Trump<\/strong>, is admittedly not a fan.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe hates it when I do the thing on weight lifting. \u2018It\u2019s so unpresidential.\u2019 And she hates it when I dance, too. She hates it when I dance to what is sometimes referred to as as the gay national anthem,\u201d the president, 79, told a crowd at The Villages retirement community in Florida on Friday, May 1, referring to the Village People\u2019s hit song \u201cY.M.C.A\u201d and the president\u2019s signature fist-pumping.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe hates it,\u201d he continued. \u201cThat song was number five 32 years ago, and it went to number one 32 years later. It never hit number one. It was number five 32 years ago and it went number one for months during the last months of the campaign. We love that song.\u201d<\/p>\n

The president added of his wife\u2019s disdain for his dance moves, \u201cBut she goes, \u2018Darling, please\u2019 \u2014 you know she\u2019s a very elegant woman. She goes, \u2018Darling, please don\u2019t dance, it\u2019s not presidential.\u2019 I said it may not be presidential but I\u2019m leading by 20 points in the polls.\u201d<\/p>\n

In his opening monologue on Tuesday, Kimmel, 58, played a clip of Trump\u2019s televised news conference earlier in the day welcoming the U.K.\u2019s King Charles III and Queen Camilla on a state visit to [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Donald then went on to share that his wife \u201cparticularly\u201d hates when he attempts to recreate footage of a female athlete competing in a weight lifting competition among other women and a trans athlete. (The president has made anti-trans rhetoric a cornerstone of his presidency, advocating for laws that ban trans athletes from competing in women\u2019s sports and accessing gender-affirming care.)<\/p>\n

The president then went on to pretend to lift weights, telling the crowd, \u201cAh, mom, I can\u2019t do it!\u201d<\/p>\n

During the more than one hour speech, the president also addressed the recent shooting at this year\u2019s White House Correspondents\u2019 Dinner, telling the crowd that he \u201cshouldn\u2019t be here.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was just an attempt, they say, on my life,\u201d the commander-in-chief said. \u201cI should be indoors at a secure facility where I can quietly, beautifully and safely play out my term, destroying everything that comes in our way, like bad countries that want to get nuclear weapons. We\u2019ll take care of that.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cSo they want me to be in a secure place, and I said, \u2018What\u2019s more secure than the villages?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
