Odette Annable<\/strong> is officially a Hallmark leading lady with her debut in Kentucky Roses<\/em> \u2014 but will her husband, Dave Annable<\/strong>, be next to join the network?<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve worked together before, and we\u2019ve actually shot a Christmas rom-com, and that was a great time,\u201d Odette, 40, exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> of possibly bringing Dave, 46, into the Hallmark universe now that she\u2019s starred in her first rom-com for the network, Kentucky Roses<\/em>, premiering Saturday, May 2.<\/p>\n

She teased that \u201cabsolutely in the future\u201d she\u2019d like to have Dave as a scene partner for Hallmark, but for now he\u2019s \u201cbusy\u201d working on season 3 of Lioness<\/em> for Paramount+ in Fort Worth, Texas.<\/p>\n

\u201cI always say he likes working with me more than I like working with him,\u201d Odette joked, telling Us<\/em> that \u201cbecause he\u2019s my husband, we see each other all the time\u201d so she is OK acting alongside other leading men.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m like, \u2018What more?\u2019\u201d she added. \u201c\u2018How much more do we need?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Odette added that if the \u201copportunity ever presented itself\u201d to do a Hallmark film together, however, \u201cWe would love that.\u201d<\/p>\n

For now, Odette told Us<\/em> that Dave, with whom she shares two daughters, will be joining her at the 2026 Kentucky Derby so they can \u201cexperience it together\u201d for the first time.<\/p>\n

This year, the annual horse race takes place the same day her first Hallmark movie, Kentucky Roses<\/em>, premieres, in which she plays Sadie Moore.<\/p>\n

\u201c[Sadie] comes from a long lineage of greenhouse workers,\u201d Odette shared with Us<\/em> during a joint interview with her movie costar Andrew Walker<\/strong>. \u201cAnd there\u2019s a real greenhouse at Churchill Downs that we shot in, which was really amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Odette explained that Sadie\u2019s \u201caspirations\u201d are more aligned with becoming a florist, so as the movie progresses, fans will see her \u201ctrying to find herself, get those goals\u201d and \u201cgo after her purpose.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tAndrew Walker has cemented himself as one of Hallmark Media\u2019s biggest stars after making his network debut in 2012. The Canadian actor first left his mark on viewers that year with A Bride for Christmas alongside Arielle Kebbel. The twosome reunited on camera for 2015\u2019s Bridal Wave, which launched Walker into an even bigger name [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The actress teased that for Sadie, \u201cLove was not at the forefront of her mind. But of course, she meets Ash Taylor, played by the wonderful Andrew Walker, and their love story unfolds in this really fun, beautiful, organic, I would say, way.\u201d<\/p>\n

Walker, a Hallmark staple after\u00a0his 2012 network debut, exclusively told Us<\/em> that he has been \u201ctrying to do this movie for a while\u201d after knowing someone from Kentucky whose family member is the CEO of Churchill Downs, home of the annual Kentucky Derby horse races.<\/p>\n

When it comes to his character, Walker called Ash \u201ca guy that goes after what he wants\u201d and one that \u201cswore he\u2019d never come back and work for his dad.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, when one of the spires at Churchill Downs is damaged, Ash gets a call from his father and agrees to come back and help as it\u2019s only two weeks until the big race.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe coaxes me into staying for the two weeks and fixing the spires. And it just so happens that Sadie is there,\u201d Walker, 46, teased.<\/p>\n
