\n\tMonths after announcing his lung cancer diagnosis, Barry Manilow is getting his health back to performance-ready.<\/p>\n
\n\tOn Friday, the Grammy winner announced that he\u2019s \u201cmaking great progress\u201d with his cancer treatment, and although he has to cancel his Hits Come Home<\/em> residency dates in May at Westgate Resort in Las Vegas, Manilow plans to return to the stage with his upcoming UK arena dates starting June 9 in Glasgow.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cGood news! I went to the doctor yesterday and he said I\u2019m making great progress and look great! Well of course I do! Thank you very much!\u201d he wrote on X.\u00a0\u201cAll the training and exercising I\u2019ve put in is paying off.\u00a0He did say, however, that I\u2019m not quite ready for Vegas.\u00a0That means I won\u2019t be able to return for our May shows at\u00a0@WestgateVegas.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tManilow added, \u201cBut the good news is he said I will be ready for my June arena shows in the UK. It\u2019s going to be great to see you all in the UK.\u00a0Westgate Las Vegas is my home away from home\u2026and I\u2019ll see you all in July. In the meantime\u2026come to the UK! We\u2019ll be there in June and hope you will be too!\u00a0See you then\u2026\u00a0Barry\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tIn December, Manilow revealed that he had in MRI that indicated a \u201ccancerous spot\u201d on his left lung, which turned out to be Stage 1 lung cancer.<\/p>\n
