Yes, The Devil Wears Prada 2<\/em>, with original stars Meryl Streep<\/strong> and Anne Hathaway<\/strong> returning alongside newcomers Simone Ashley<\/strong> and Lady Gaga<\/strong>, is finally here after endless years of speculation, and the verdict is clear \u2014 this sequel is a winner, baby.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019ve already watched it or plan to at some point, you probably have a craving to stream more movies starring Streep. I know I do, which is why I curated a list of the three-time Oscar winner\u2019s most underrated films.<\/p>\n

From a wild comedy costarring Goldie Hawn<\/strong> to a quiet drama directed by Clint Eastwood<\/strong>, these films showcase Streep\u2019s impressive range and prove the New Jersey native can do just about anything \u2014 including sharing the screen with Roseanne Barr<\/strong>.\n<\/p>\n

Meryl Streep playing second fiddle to Roseanne<\/strong>? It happened, and the result was a strange comedy where most of the laughs came from an actress then known as a strictly \u201cserious\u201d thespian who never met an accent she couldn\u2019t mimic. Maybe that\u2019s why She-Devil<\/em> is so fun to watch \u2014 you get to see in real-time Streep indulge in a funny side she hadn\u2019t really shown to the public before.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Vanity Fair on Thursday, April 30, Streep, 76, admitted she faced a major pet peeve with Hawn, 80, when they worked together on 1992\u2019s Death Becomes Her. \u201cGoldie, she was always late to set,\u201d Streep told [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Streep stars as Mary Fisher, an absurdly rich and successful romance novelist who has everything in life except what she writes about \u2014 love. She thinks she\u2019s found it when she meets Bob (Ed Begley Jr.<\/strong>), a married accountant with a wandering eye. Bob quickly ditches his frumpy wife, Ruth (Roseanne), and his kids to be with Mary, but Ruth doesn\u2019t go quietly into that good night. She concocts an elaborate plan to get back at Bob \u2014 and make Mary\u2019s life a living hell.<\/p>\n

Streep has all kinds of fun playing the purposefully over-the-top Mary, whose gaudy taste in decorating (she loves the color pink) is only matched by her phony patrician demeanor. Most of the laughs in She-Devil<\/em> stem from watching Mary\u2019s pitch-perfect life slowly crumble as Bob inadvertently turns her into her worst enemy \u2014 Ruth! It\u2019s not wrong to think that if She-Devil<\/em> hadn\u2019t happened, we wouldn\u2019t have gotten Streep in future comedies like Death Becomes Her<\/em> and, yes, The Devil Wears Prada<\/em>.<\/p>\n

2. \u2018Death Becomes Her\u2019 (1992)<\/h2>\n
