Beloved actress Selma Blair<\/strong> is opening up about her favorite Met Gala moments \u2014 and vows to \u201cone day\u201d return to fashion\u2019s biggest night.<\/p>\n

\u201cI used to be a big Met Gala attendee,\u201d Blair, 53, exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> on Friday, May 1, while attending Calamigos Ranch Resort & Spa\u2019s Leading Hotels of the World accreditation celebration.<\/p>\n

\u201cI haven\u2019t attended in many years, but I have wonderful memories of it,\u201d she continued. \u201cMy first time was with Behnaz Sarafpour, then I went a couple years with Chanel and more recently, I think, with Marc Jacobs \u2014 but that was probably 20 years ago.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cSo I love it. I love watching what everyone\u2019s wearing and I will be watching.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tSelma Blair is feeling like her best self as she returns to Hollywood after taking a break due to her struggle with multiple sclerosis. \u201cI am building stamina and because I have some real-time being relapse-free, I am feeling more confident to be back on set,\u201d the actress, 52, exclusively tells Us Weekly while promoting [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The 2026 Met Gala will take place on Monday, May 4, at the iconic Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Beyonc\u00e9<\/strong> will return to the star-studded fundraiser as a cochair alongside Nicole Kidman<\/strong>, Venus Williams<\/strong> and Anna Wintour<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The night\u2019s theme, \u201cCostume Art,\u201d will explore 5,000 years of the \u201cdressed body,\u201d paired with the evening\u2019s \u201cFashion Is Art\u201d dress code, said to encourage sculptural, conceptual and avant-garde interpretations of the body as a walking, living, breathing canvas.<\/p>\n

While Blair won\u2019t be in attendance this year, she told Us<\/em> she absolutely plans to return.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne day I will be back at the Met, because I love fashion,\u201d she said on Friday. \u201cI love wardrobes. And it is a passion of mine, so I really appreciate what they do and I think it\u2019s an amazing event.\u201d<\/p>\n

In October 2018, the Cruel Intentions<\/em> star revealed she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS), a chronic autoimmune disease that causes a breakdown of the protective covering of the nerves, per the Mayo Clinic. The disease causes multiple and often painful symptoms, including numbness, weakness, trouble walking and vision changes.<\/p>\n

There is currently no known cure.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was in this wardrobe fitting two days ago. And I am in the deepest gratitude. So profound, it is, I have decided to share,\u201d Blair wrote via Instagram at the time, announcing her private health battle. \u201cThe brilliant costumer #Allisaswanson not only designs the pieces #harperglass will wear on this new #Netflix show , but she carefully gets my legs in my pants, pulls my tops over my head, buttons my coats and offers her shoulder to steady myself. I have #multiplesclerosis.\u201d<\/p>\n

Seven years later, Blair offered fans an update on her health, revealing she has been \u201crelapse free\u201d for years.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat, of course, means the world to me that I\u2019m not, at this moment, accumulating more damage in my brain,\u201d she told Stellar in November 2025. \u201cI have also made a lot of strides with the vibe of neuroplasticity.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added at the time, \u201cI\u2019m very, very lucky. Everyone\u2019s experience with MS is different. I think I do have a certain place [to speak publicly]. My big mouth likes to see what I can do about stigma.\u201d<\/p>\n
