\n\tAfter 15 years, Kenneth Branagh has considered returning to the MCU for another cinematic outing with the Avengers\u2019 favorite Norse god.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Oscar winner, who directed 2011\u2019s Thor<\/em>, recently confessed that he \u201cwould love to finish my relationship with that character\u201d in a darker sequel that would take the character \u201cinto a glorious twilight.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI definitely was ready for another, for sure, but not right then,\u201d he told Business Insider. \u201cMarvel shoots are intense. Marvel postproduction is more intense \u2014 wildly exciting but super intense. I definitely needed to smell the roses. Kevin Feige was very understanding, and so was the cast. I needed a break.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tBranagh added, \u201cPart of me would love to finish my relationship with that character. I\u2019d always wanted to do more and indeed had a couple of ideas, more in the territory of James Mangold\u2019s brilliant Logan<\/em>. I would love to see Chris Hemsworth and the others have their own individual final story that takes Thor into a glorious twilight.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAs a fan of the franchise, Branagh thinks it \u201cwould be something very beautiful to take those characters into their own particular sunset,\u201d but whether or not he would direct the installment is \u201ca whole other question.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThey are so far deep into the future of the Marvel Universe that I\u2019m sure whatever plans they have for it are already kind of set,\u201d said Branagh. \u201cAll I know is there\u2019s something beautiful to be had out of arriving at a conclusion for that arc of those stories with those characters and those actors.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tFollowing Branagh\u2019s work directing the 2011 adaptation of the Marvel comic, Thor: The Dark World<\/em> (2013) was directed by Alan Taylor. Taika Waititi then directed Thor: Ragnarok<\/em> (2017) and Thor: Love and Thunder<\/em> (2022).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
