\n\tBefore Adam Scott booked Parks and Recreation <\/em>and Severance<\/em>, he was a working actor like anyone else \u2014 so much so that he auditioned for 2002\u2019s Hellraiser VI: Hellseeker<\/em> despite being killed off earlier in the franchise\u2019s history.<\/p>\n \n\tThe four-time Emmy-nominated actor and producer made his feature film debut in 1996\u2019s Hellraiser IV: Bloodline<\/em>, in which he played Jacques, the assistant to Mickey Cottrell\u2019s Duc de L\u2019Isle who is eventually killed by Angelique (Valentina Vargas).<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cThings don\u2019t go great. I think someone bites my face off,\u201d he told Seth Meyers in a recent appearance on Late Night<\/em>.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cMy agent sent me an audition for Hellraiser VI<\/em>, and I\u2019m like, \u2018Now, wait a second \u2026 I was in Hellraiser IV,<\/em>\u201d Scott recalled, noting that while his character \u201cdoes not make it\u201d he desperately needed a job. \u201cSo I\u2019m like, \u2018Screw it,\u2019 and I go to the audition just thinking, \u2018Maybe they won\u2019t notice that I was in\u00a0Hellraiser IV.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThe Hokum<\/em> star remembered being in the waiting room and seeing a producer from the earlier film in the office, and \u201cjust holding my papers up, just like, \u2018OK, if he<\/em> doesn\u2019t see me and they think I do a good job, maybe I\u2019ll get in Hellraiser VI<\/em> as well.’\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tScott didn\u2019t end up booking the role, joking that the producers and casting department ended up not casting him due to his acting, not the continuity error. All\u2019s well that ends well, as he returns to the horror genre with the Stephen King-esque Hokum<\/em>, which released in theaters May 1.<\/p>\n \n\tElsewhere during his late night appearance, Scott said he would soon be gearing up to film the anticipated third season for Apple TV\u2019s Severance.<\/em><\/p>\n \n
