Golden Bachelor<\/em> alum Amy Kaplan<\/strong> is breaking down her decision to undergo a deep-plane \u2014 and rather expensive \u2014 facelift.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo I\u2019ve been talking about it for a while,\u201d Kaplan, 63, told People<\/em> in an interview published on Sunday, May 3. \u201cBut, you know, I\u2019m like four and a half, five years out from all that. So I decided that I\u2019m feeling really good. I work out a couple of hours a day, I eat healthy, so I\u2019m like, \u2018All right, I\u2019m ready. We\u2019re going to do this.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Kaplan explained that she decided to pursue the cosmetic procedure because \u201cwhat I see in the mirror doesn\u2019t correlate to how I feel inside.\u201d She ultimately saw Beverly Hills, California, based facial plastic surgeon Dr. Patrick K. Davis<\/strong>, who told the outlet that the cost for the procedure was \u201caround the $75,000 range.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, you see all of this sagging? I have a sad look because my lips frown because when everything starts drooping, you look sad,\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019m doing my neck, I\u2019m doing my face. He goes vertical, so it brings the cheeks back up. It\u2019s a deep-plane vertical. He calls it, they call it a vertical lift. It\u2019s going to go up. I\u2019m going to do a lateral brow lift, not one where you look surprised, but just the outer third of the brows, so they go up a little bit.\u201d<\/p>\n

Following the facelift, Kaplan shared that she\u2019s feeling \u201creally good\u201d and has \u201cno\u201d regrets.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was back at the gym, I would say, probably two weeks after the procedure,\u201d she said. \u201cI waited until about, like, a good four or five weeks. I started doing lightweights and now it\u2019s just going to be eight weeks today, I think. And I\u2019m back at the gym lifting.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite being worried about the first few days of recovery, Kaplan said it was not as painful as she expected and instead of being in immense pain simply felt \u201cdiscomfort.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI look just like myself, but, you know, the younger version of me,\u201d she continued. \u201cNow my face is matching my body and my soul and spirit. So far, [my daughters are] so happy. They said, \u2018Mom, you look like you did 10 years ago. You look really good. It\u2019s so natural.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
