\n\tWhitney Leavitt is departing Hulu\u2018s The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives<\/em>, the reality television actress-turned-Broadway starlet announced during her final performance in Chicago<\/em> on Sunday.<\/p>\n \n\tHer representative confirmed the departure to Deadline.<\/p>\n \n\tLeavitt has appeared in every episode of the hit Emmy-nominated reality show, which follows a group of Mormon mom-influencers who contend with a sex scandal that disrupts their faith, friendships and reputations. <\/p>\n \n\tThe show, which debuted in September 2024, just recently weathered its own storms, pausing production after fellow main cast member Taylor Frankie Paul was allegedly involved in a domestic violence incident. Charges against Paul were dropped\u00a0after she was seen on a video throwing a metal stool at ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen. Since then, the Disney streamer announced it will resume filming on Season 5, though it did not specify when that will be.<\/p>\n \n\tOne of the breakout stars of the MomTok phenomenon, Leavitt will soon make her feature debut as executive producer and star of\u00a0All for Love<\/em>\u00a0(wt), a holiday rom-com from production company\u00a0The Ninth House\u00a0(Lifetime\u2019s\u00a0Forever<\/em>). Leavitt has been very vocal about her acting ambitions, taking to social media to tease the film debut last year.<\/p>\n \n\tAs such, it\u2019s relatively unsurprising that Leavitt is exiting. The cast of Mormon Wives<\/em> visited Leavitt during one of her performances earlier this year, and it\u2019s currently unclear if she will feature in the forthcoming and partially filmed Season 5 as a guest star or fully fledged member.<\/p>\n \n\tAfter competing on\u00a0Dancing with the Stars<\/em> Season 34, with Mark Ballas as her dance partner, she made her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in\u00a0a revival of Chicago<\/em>, which began its run Feb. 2 and got an extended two-week window following its biggest ticket sales since 2023\u2019s lucrative holiday haul. The duo, who made it to the semi-finals of the ABC dance competition show, reunited when Ballas joined for a limited engagement running through all of April and concluding May 3.<\/p>\n
