(Photo by Mike Coppola\/Getty Images for MTV)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\nTyler appeared on the \u201cCake For Dinner\u201d podcast this week, where he continued to fume about the fact that no one prevented him and Catelynn from placing Carly up for adoption.<\/p>\n
\u201cAt the age that I am now, I look back and it\u2019s hard not to get angry a little bit,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s hard not to be like, \u2018Where were people?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
Yes, Tyler appears to have shifted the focus of his anger from Carly\u2019s parents to the adults who were in his life at the time of the adoption.<\/p>\n
\u201cI can\u2019t imagine not being in that hospital room, even going through what [Catelynn] went through,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cLike, where was everybody? How dare they not be there for her in the way that she needed. And not only our parents but everybody involved: the adoption agency, everybody. Honestly, we were listening to all these adults and you have this poor girl\u2013 child\u2014 in crisis\u2026,\u201d he continued, adding:<\/p>\n
\u201cI look back and am just like, \u2018Where was the support?\u2019 This [adoption] was so unnecessary.\u201d<\/p>\n
As The Ashley\u2019s Reality Roundup reports, there\u2019s footage of Carly\u2019s delivery, and both Catelynn and Tyler\u2019s parents were present in the delivery room.<\/p>\n
Of course, those parents were not always very supportive, and Tyler could have been speaking metaphorically.<\/p>\n
Whatever the case, Tyler says the whole experience has left him wary of the adoption process.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat\u2019s why my position is kind of like, I just want to prevent every unnecessary adoption,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n
\u201cThat should be everyone\u2019s goal. We shouldn\u2019t want more babies that need to be adopted. As a society, we should be like, \u2018What\u2019s going on?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
We understand that Tyler is deeply wounded by his limited contact with Carly. But someone should tell him that lashing out at the concept of adoption is not a good look.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
