New England Patriots veteran Stefon Diggs<\/strong> was found not guilty in his assault trial stemming from an alleged altercation with his former chef.<\/p>\n

Diggs, 32, faced one count of felony strangulation and one count of misdemeanor assault and battery. The Tuesday, May 5, verdict was read in a Dedham District courtroom after an hour-and-a-half of deliberation, according to TMZ Sports<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The wide receiver\u2019s former chef, Mila Adams<\/strong>, accused Diggs of strangling her after the pair got into an alleged financial dispute last year.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe took his arm and he came around my neck and put his elbow around my neck,\u201d she claimed while testifying in court on Monday, May 4. \u201cHe began to choke me, [put] pressure on my neck.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tNew England Patriots athlete Stefon Diggs appeared in court on Friday, February 13, after being accused of strangling his personal chef in December 2025. Diggs, 32, entered a not guilty plea, according to court footage from The National Desk. The next hearing is scheduled for early April, until which Diggs was ordered not to have [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

She said the confrontation happened in her bedroom in December 2025 after the pair engaged in a \u201ctext exchange\u201d over allegedly unpaid wages.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe came in intent to hurt me,\u201d Adams claimed on the stand. \u201cHe was leaning against the dresser. He asked me to get up to come here. I got up off the bed and I came across to him. I stood in front of him, I stood on the side of him as he was leaning back. And he was like, \u2018What was all that s*** you was talking?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

That\u2019s when, Adams said, Diggs \u201csmacked\u201d her with \u201can open hand.\u201d<\/p>\n

Adams also claimed to have had a sexual relationship with Diggs, who was dating rapper Cardi B<\/strong> at the time of the alleged assault, prior to becoming his employee. Us Weekly<\/em> reported earlier this year that the couple split \u201ca few days\u201d before the Patriots lost to the Seattle Seahawks in the 2026 Super Bowl.<\/p>\n

I usually get to talk to y\u2019all on Wednesday, but obviously it\u2019s a different time. An emotional time,\u201d Diggs, 32, told reporters on Friday, January 2. \u201cTaken [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cIt started out as friends,\u201d Adams said. \u201cBecame sexual. We would meet up, hang out. We decided I would come work for him in February of 2025.\u201d<\/p>\n

Us<\/em> has reached out to Diggs\u2019 attorney for comment regarding Adams\u2019 characterization of their relationship.<\/p>\n

Diggs pleaded not guilty on all charges. He could have faced up to five years in prison if convicted.<\/p>\n
