Savannah, 54, returned to the NBC morning show during the Monday, April 6, episode after two months away. Wearing yellow \u2014 a color which has taken on significant meaning amid the search for her mother \u2014 Savannah joined [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Savannah returned to the morning show last month after taking some time off amid the disappearance of her mother, Nancy Guthrie<\/strong>. In February, the Guthrie family reported Nancy was missing after not attending a virtual church service. Police have speculated that Nancy was abducted from her home in Tucson, Arizona.<\/p>\n Amid their investigation, the FBI released several black-and-white images captured from Nancy\u2019s doorbell security camera that showed a man in a ski mask on her porch the morning of her disappearance. However, authorities have yet to name a suspect.<\/p>\n Savannah initially left Today<\/em> and traveled to Arizona to be with her siblings as they searched for Nancy.<\/p>\n \u201cWe believe in goodness. we believe in humanity. above all, we believe in Him,\u201d she wrote via Instagram in February. \u201cThank you for lifting your prayers with ours for our beloved mom, our dearest Nancy, a woman of deep conviction, a good and faithful servant. raise your prayers with us and believe with us that she will be lifted by them in this very moment. We need you.\u201d<\/p>\n Savannah later spoke about her mom\u2019s disappearance and opened up about struggling with the idea that her fame potentially played a role in Nancy\u2019s abduction.<\/p>\n \u201cI said, \u2018Do you think [it was] because of me?\u2019 And [my brother Camron Guthrie<\/strong>] said, \u2018I\u2019m sorry, sweetie, but yeah, maybe,\u2019\u201d Savannah tearfully recalled to Hoda Kotb<\/strong> during an interview in March. \u201cBut I knew that. I hope not. I mean, we still don\u2019t know. Honestly, we don\u2019t know anything. We don\u2019t know anything. So, I don\u2019t know that it\u2019s because she\u2019s my mom and somebody thought, \u2018Oh, that girl, that lady has money, we can make a quick buck.\u2019 That would make sense, but we don\u2019t know.\u201d<\/p>\n As the investigation into Nancy\u2019s whereabouts hit the 100-day mark earlier this month, the Pima County Sheriff \u2014 who had been leading the search \u2014 shared that they \u201cremain fully committed\u201d to the case.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is an active and ongoing investigation, and we continue to work closely with our partners at the FBI,\u201d the Pima County Sheriff\u2019s Office told Us<\/em> on Monday, May 4. \u201cDNA and video analysis are underway, supported by laboratories across the country.\u201d<\/p>\n The following day, FBI director Kash Patel<\/strong> claimed that local authorities tried to keep federal agents out of Nancy\u2019s case at first.<\/p>\n You have successfully subscribed.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
