Fox McCloud, appearing in\u00a0Super Mario Galaxy,\u00a0already seemed to telegraph that Nintendo had some sort of StarFox game up its sleeve sooner or later. On Wednesday, Nintendo surprise-dropped news that StarFox is headed to Switch 2<\/span><\/span> very soon, although it’s not a totally brand-new game.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n StarFox is a remake of the critically acclaimed StarFox 64, a Nintendo 64 game that can already be played on the N64 app on Nintendo Switch Online<\/span><\/span>. The new StarFox, however, has graphics that clearly are making the most of the Switch 2 hardware. The footage shown off in a video makes it look like one of the most impressive Switch 2 graphics showcases yet.<\/p>\n <\/div> The new graphics in this version of StarFox look pretty great.<\/p>\n <\/span> Nintendo<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n There are extra challenge modes and online Battle Modes in this one, which should add a lot to the mix. The game supports GameShare to other local Switches for multiplayer, too, including original Switches and Switch Lites. Aiming has Joy-Con mouse controls, too.<\/p>\n As good as it looks, we still don’t know what it will cost for the privilege of a revamped StarFox. But\u00a0it looks like another solid addition to Nintendo’s upcoming release calendar.
