\n\tEXCLUSIVE<\/strong>: Fox is officially searching for the Nation\u2019s Dumbest.<\/em><\/p>\n \n\tThe network has handed the show, which is based on a Scandinavian format, a series order. Deadline revealed that the project was in development at the end of last year.<\/p>\n \n\tThe series will now be hosted by British comedian Jack Whitehall and the network has lined up a phalanx of celebrities aiming not to be the dumbest in the country.<\/p>\n \n\tNation\u2019s Dumbest<\/em> is the first television show where the loser is the winner. Celebrities fight it out to be eliminated from the competition as quickly as possible to avoid being crowned the nation\u2019s dumbest. From influencers to wrestlers, comedians to politicians, the contestants are put to the test in a series of physical and mental rounds about all the things you really should know.<\/p>\n \n\tCelebs featured are Dance Moms\u2019 <\/em>JoJo Siwa, TikTok star Chase Hudson, Former Arizona Cardinals QB Matt Leinart, politician Andrew Yang, musician Elle King, The Breakfast Club<\/em> star Anthony Michael Hall, Alec Baldwin\u2019s wife Hilaria Baldwin, who recently competed on Dancing with the Stars, Jackass\u2019 <\/em>Steve-O, rapper Ice-T, Baywatch\u2019s<\/em> Carmen Electra, Celeb Rehab\u2019s<\/em> Dr. Drew Pinsky and Napolean Dynamite\u2019s <\/em>Jon Heder.<\/p>\n \n\tMany of these stars have starred on shows for Fox before including Siwa, who has appeared on The Masked Singer, Special Forces: World\u2019s Toughest Test <\/em>and Hell\u2019s Kitchen<\/em>; Ice-T, who was on The Masked Dancer<\/em>, Electra, who was a guest host on Domino Masters<\/em> and Pinsky, who featured on Special Forces: World\u2019s Toughest Test.<\/em><\/p>\n \n\tWhitehall is best known in the States as one of the stars, alongside Keke Palmer, of Peacock\u2019s The \u2018Burbs<\/em>, which was renewed for a second season. Nation\u2019s Dumbest<\/em> marks his first U.S. network hosting gig. He is well known in the UK for hosting the Brit Awards and starring on Sky panel show A League of their Own<\/em> as well as scripted comedy Fresh Meat<\/em>. He also starred in Netflix travel series Jack Whitehall: Travels with my Father.<\/em> Nation\u2019s Dumbest<\/em> marks his first U.S. network hosting gig.<\/p>\n \n\tFox is calling its version a celebrity competition series that \u201cflips the genre on its head because for the first time, the goal isn\u2019t to win \u2014 it\u2019s to get eliminated\u201d.<\/p>\n \n\tThe series will debut this summer on\u00a0Wednesday, July 15\u00a0at 9pm.<\/p>\n \n\tThe U.S. version is produced by BBC Studios, which is behind Fox\u2019s\u00a0Celebrity Weakest Link, <\/em>ABC\u2019s\u00a0Dancing with the Stars<\/em>, and Netflix\u2019s\u00a0Outlast<\/em>. It will be exec produced by Ryan O\u2019Dowd, Krystal Whitney and\u00a0Jenny Groom. James Breen, who has worked on The Masked Singer <\/em>and So You Think You Can Dance<\/em>, will serve as showrunner and will exec produce alongside Michael O\u2019Sullivan.<\/p>\n \n\tNation\u2019s Dumbest\u00a0<\/em>has been a hit in Norway, launching in August 2024, and it is now on its second season after becoming the country\u2019s most-watched show.
