Rob Reiner<\/b> and Michele Singer Reiner<\/b>\u2019s son Jake Reiner <\/b>returned to his \u201cThe Inline\u201d podcast nearly six months after his parents\u2019 tragic deaths.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to thank everyone that I\u2019ve heard from, near and far, since everything\u2019s happened,\u201d Jake, 34, began the Wednesday, May 6, episode of his Dodgers fan podcast<\/span>. \u201cI\u2019ve tried to get back to every one of you, and I will continue to try to respond to people, but just know I\u2019ve seen all the love, all the support out there.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cIt has been so nice to see how wonderful, not only my friends and family, but the Dodgers Twitter community or X community. I really feel the love. I couldn\u2019t appreciate that more. I felt it was time to come back to the podcast. I was thinking about it for a really long time, been talking to Kevin <\/b>[Klein<\/b>, my cohost] about it for a while. I told him I wanted to write this essay or op-ed piece first.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jake published a Substack essay<\/span> last month, detailing his grief after Rob and Michele were found dead inside their home in December 2025. They were 78 and 70, respectively. (Rob and Michele are also survived by daughter Romy and son Nick, the latter who was arrested in connection to their murders. Nick pleaded not guilty to two counts of first-degree murder with a special circumstance of multiple murders and is awaiting trial.)<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tRob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner were found dead in their Brentwood, Los Angeles, home on December 14, 2025, after being stabbed to death. Their son Nick Reiner was subsequently arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder. He pleaded not guilty and is currently awaiting trial. A spokesperson for the family released a [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI just felt with everything going on \u2026 I wanted to put my words out there and let people in as to the kind of people they were at home for those who really knew and loved them,\u201d Jake said on Wednesday, noting that his podcast return was partially inspired by Rob. \u201cWhen it comes to the Dodgers, my first love, it\u2019s something I\u2019ve always connected with my dad first and foremost.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cIt\u2019s something I will continue to connect with him for the rest of my life. <\/span>I felt it was time to come back to the podcast. It\u2019s a good time to talk Dodgers baseball. I didn\u2019t want to jump on the podcast and start talking about the Dodgers\u2019 offensive woes or bullpen woes without addressing some things first.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jake further pointed to his Instagram page and his Substack essay for fans who wanted to hear more of his thoughts about Rob and Michele\u2019s deaths.<\/p>\n
