Blake Lively<\/strong> detailed a conversation involving Ryan Reynolds<\/strong> and Justin Baldoni<\/strong> in a deposition released ahead of the pair\u2019s It Ends With Us<\/em> settlement.<\/p>\n

Lively recalled in her January deposition that Baldoni visited her office to discuss script revisions in April 2023, which is when she brought up that she was \u201caware\u201d of an \u201cupsetting\u201d conversation he had about her weight. Lively told Baldoni that the discussion \u201cfelt invasive and inappropriate.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to the actress, Reynolds \u201cbriefly\u201d joined in on the conversation, as he was also working in the office at the time. She recalled Hugh Jackman<\/strong> stopping by and shaking Baldoni\u2019s hand before leaving with Reynolds.<\/p>\n

Despite previous claims that Taylor Swift<\/strong> witnessed the conversation as well, Lively clarified in her deposition that \u201cno one but Baldoni, myself and Reynolds was anywhere in our office\u201d during the discussion.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tBlake Lively\u2018s ongoing legal drama with Justin Baldoni took an unexpected turn by pulling in Taylor Swift. After costarring in It Ends With Us together, Lively sued Baldoni in December 2024 accusing her costar and director of of sexual harassment and orchestrating an alleged smear campaign. In her filing, Lively claimed that Baldoni named Swift [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Nearly two years after the pair\u2019s legal battle began, a settlement was reached before their scheduled trial date in May.<\/p>\n

Lively sued Baldoni for sexual harassment, retaliation, breach of contract, infliction of emotional distress, invasion of privacy and lost wages in December 2024. Baldoni has denied all of Lively\u2019s allegations \u2014 and countersued in January, though his suit was later dismissed.<\/p>\n

As part of her lawsuit, Lively alleged that Baldoni found \u201cback-channel ways of criticizing her body and weight\u201d while filming It Ends With Us<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cLively was humiliated to learn that Mr. Baldoni secretly called her fitness trainer without her knowledge or permission, and implied that he wanted her to lose weight in two weeks,\u201d the actress\u2019s attorneys alleged in her lawsuit.<\/p>\n

Baldoni\u2019s lawyers later countered that he\u2019d only reached out to Lively\u2019s trainer because he\u2019d have to lift her in an It Ends With Us<\/em> scene \u2014 and he was allegedly worried about aggravating a longstanding back injury.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Swift has repeatedly tried to distance herself from the case. Baldoni\u2019s lawyers previously released a text message from the filmmaker to Lively, which referenced Swift in connection with It Ends With Us<\/em>\u2019 infamous rooftop scene.<\/p>\n

\u201cWas working on rooftop scene today, I really love what you did. It really does hep [sic] a lot,\u201d he purportedly wrote. \u201cMakes it so much more fun and interesting. (And I would have felt that way without Ryan and Taylor). You really are a talent across the board. Really excited nd [sic] grateful to do this together.\u201d<\/p>\n

When Swift was formally subpoenaed by Baldoni\u2019s attorneys, her spokesperson insisted the singer \u201cnever set foot on the set of\u201d It Ends With Us<\/em>, nor did she make \u201ccasting or creative decisions,\u201d beyond allowing her song \u201cMy Tears Ricochet\u201d to be used in the film.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe did not score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes on the film,\u201d her rep told Us<\/em> in May 2025. \u201cShe did not even see It Ends With Us<\/em> until weeks after its public release, and was traveling around the globe during 2023 and 2024 headlining the biggest tour in history.\u201d<\/p>\n
